Spotlight | Cure Natural Aqua Gel.

All the rave and positive reviews I've read about Cure Natural Aqua Gel has made me really curious. I mean, what's so great about this product that makes it sell like hotcakes in Japan?

And so when Sample Room announced two weeks ago that they finally have stocks of Cure available, I glued myself in front of the laptop and took a shot at getting free product samples. Luckily, I was able to snag a trial pack along with samples of C-Lium Fibre, which made for my first-ever Sample Room haul.

Here's how the free sample (yes, they're free!) of Cure looks like.
The Cure. :)
It contains five 3-gram sachets good for five days, as per the Sample Room website. From my experience, though, one sachet can last up to two uses.
Cure sachets.
I'm glad that the leaflet has all the information you need about the product. I appreciate the fact that they're written in English. Not in Hiragana or Katakana, as I thought they would be.
A facial in a bottle! (Or a sachet, for that matter.)
Cure FAQs.
So what exactly is Cure?
It's an exfoliant that's made of 90% water (hydrogen water, to be exact).
Unlike most exfoliants, Cure doesn't contain beads or gritty particles which can leave the skin red and dry. Cure contains no preservatives, no coloring, no mineral oil, which makes it suitable even for the most sensitive skin.
Crystal clear.
Now here's how you use this product.
Remember, no rubbing or scrubbing! :)
And here's Cure in action.
Before Cure - dull skin, visible pores, tired face.
Those white particles are actually dead skin. And that's a lot of 'em coming from my face. My goodness!
Goodbye, dead skin!
The results? A brighter and cleaner face, with skin that's soft to touch! I fell in love with Cure at first try! This product sure does wonders for your skin!
Don't mind the eyebags, haha!
I've been using Cure on my face and neck for almost two weeks now, and I'm very pleased with the results. Now I understand why the Japanese go gaga over this product - as in one bottle of Cure is sold every 12 seconds in Japan! It's crazy, yes, but now I know why! :)
My no-makeup, after-Cure face. :)
Count on me to go full-size once I'm done with the sachets. It's a bit expensive though, with a 250g bottle priced at Php 1500. But after seeing how great this product is and how a little amount goes a long way, I wouldn't mind spending a few extra bucks for something that works, and works wonders.

What I love:
- Gentle on the skin, safe even for those with sensitive skin.
- Does a great job of removing dead skin.
- Non-drying, non-irritating.
- Free from preservatives, mineral oil, and artificial coloring.
- Leaves the skin bright and clear, smooth and supple.
- Just a little goes a long way.

What you might not like:
- It's a bit pricier than the common exfoliant, but you do get your money's worth with this product.

The Magic of Magnetic Therapy.

Magnetic therapy jewelry is becoming popular as a holistic remedy to the aches and pains that accompany such ailments as arthritis and degenerative discs. While the results vary from person to person, magnetic therapy jewelry is a safer option without the varied side effects medicines can come with.
MagneticJewelryStore.com offers a variety of copper magnetic bracelets. From wide, to thin, to hammered, to braided, and twisted copper bracelets, there’s sure to be a style to suit the modest or the fashion forward. Be sure to choose the correct size. Because of the metal materials, they are not one size fits all. Your bracelet should fit comfortably as if it’s too tight or too loose you likely won’t wear it, which will defeat the purpose of owning one.

Should you accidentally order the incorrect size the Magnetic Jewelry Store will happily exchange it for the proper size or even a different style. They want you to be happy enough with your purchase to wear the product on a regular basis for the expected results.

The Magnetic Jewelry Store is McAfee certified, making it safe and secure for you to order via their online store. They are also a member of the Better Business Bureau so you know they are a trusted retailer.

While magnetic therapy works differently for everyone, there are a great many testimonials on the site about what the bracelets have done for other customers and why they would recommend the Magnetic Jewelry Store’s products to anyone suffering from the same kind of ailments.

When in Texas, My Texas Wills.

My Texas Wills has been preparing and probating the Texas last will and testament for individuals and couples for over 15 years with documents that meet the Texas statutory requirements.

The service offers a questionnaire which needs to be filled out by the applicant. My Texas Wills will do the rest. It is operated by the law firm of Rick Villarreal who is a licensed member of the Texas State Bar Association. In some cases, the questionnaire does not cover all the issues required by an applicant.

If this is the case, an attorney from My Texas Wills will contact the applicant personally and discuss the situation. Once the documents are complete they can be sent to the applicant by email, printed and signed by a witness and a notary. Instructions for executing the documents will be provided. A Self-Proving Affidavit is also incorporated in the will so it is less complicated and expensive to probate.

Most individuals who are choosing a will questionnaire also choose a Durable Power of Attorney option. This allows the designated person to do business transactions. They may select a Medical Power of Attorney to authorize medical decisions if the individual is incapacitated and cannot make their own medical decisions. They can also choose one directive to physicians that states their wishes in the event their death is imminent. Couples will receive two wills and have the same choices as above.

My Texas Wills is the simplest and least expensive way to get a valid will in the State of Texas.

Get Your Wig On!

Losing one's hair - whether it's due to old age, genetics, autoimmune diseases, or even chemotherapy - can be very heartbreaking. Good thing there are lots of hair loss remedies available in the market today - from simple hair regrowth shampoos to the more complicated hair transplant. And of course, there's the conventional wig.

Wig technology has become so advanced these days that they're now being worn not just as a solution for bald or thinning hair, but for aesthetic purposes as well (think cosplayers). Men's wigs have become quite popular, too, as more and more males are now paying particular attention to their looks, their style, and their crowning glory.
GDragon's Fantastic Baby hair. :)
If you're thinking of wearing a wig, here are some tips and styling ideas that you may want to consider:

Confidence is the key. With the right attitude, you can easily pull of wearing not just a particular wig, but just about any hairstyle.

Customize your wig. Much like a designer suit, a wig needs to be tailored as well. Take your wig to your stylist and have it customized by having it the bangs cut or trimmed, or having it shaped or thinned.

Add a little spunk and flair. Be creative with your wig! Wear it with a scarf, a headband, a ribbon, or any other hair accessory.

Stay away from the oven. There is one tip that every wig wearer MUST know, and that is NEVER open the oven while wearing a synthetic wig. The heat emanating from the oven (or even the steam from a boiling pot of water) can cause irreparable damage to your wig. And so before you do cook, bake, or do anything in the kitchen, remember to remove your wig before anything else.

Things to Consider when Choosing a Wood Stain.

Wood stains are the perfect product to colour and protect your exterior woodwork but with so many different products on the market, it can be hard to pick the best one.

Here’s all you need to know about different types of wood stains, application methods and colours.

Types of wood stain
There are 2 main types of wood stain: water-based and solvent based
  • Oil-based wood stain available from Ronseal: the perfect choice for restoring exterior doors and windows, as it is very durable and penetrates into the timber enhancing and protecting its colour and texture.
  • Water-based wood stains tend to be a better choice for indoor surfaces.
What you choose is largely just a matter of what you prefer.

Don’t forget to look out for UV resistant wood stain, as this is great for preventing colour fade and keeping your exterior wood looking great for longer. If you can’t decide what type of wood stain to buy, just ask the sales assistants at your local DIY store.

How to apply it
Applying a wood stain is a great way to finish wood and a high quality brush is the most popular wood stain applicator, for exterior wood DIY projects and irregular shaped areas.

The trick is to apply the stain evenly and make sure you work area is free of dust and dirt before you begin much like what you do when you are to apply a decking stain.

Clean rags and cloths can also be used, but I would always recommend brushes as your work will be neater and you will be able to use them for other DIY projects too.

Colours
The first thing to decide when choosing a stain colour is whether you’re trying to get a completely different look or just trying to restore your exterior wood’s original colour. Most of us go for traditional colours such as mahogany, walnut, pine or oak, but ultimately it’s up to you.

Wordless Wednesday #35 | Building Blocks.

Turn your House into a Home | Getting Ready for a Baby in the House.

Bringing your new-born baby home can be an exciting and anxious time. Apart from making sure that your bundle of joy has the right food and clothing, you'll also want to ensure that your home is a safe environment for them. With so much to think about before your baby comes home, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But relax, help is at hand: below is a list of must-haves for your baby’s health and well-being.

De-clutter your home
If you have any redundant household items that pose a potential hazard to your baby (especially any electrical appliances), why not sell them and use the money for more baby friendly products? Money saving websites such as MusicMagpie, allow you to sell items online pretty easily. Not only are you de-cluttering your home and making it a safer environment for your baby, you’re also earning some extra cash which will come in handy when shopping for your child.

Securing your windows and patio doors
Select cordless curtains and blinds. If your curtains already have cords, tie them high up, away from your baby’s reach.

Stick brightly coloured labels on any large glass areas, such as picture windows and conservatory or patio doors, to remind your baby that they are there.

Also secure your top windows with locks to stop your baby from opening them. For lower windows in your home, ensure that they cannot be opened by more than six inches. Lastly, make sure your furniture or any other household items that your baby is likely to climb on are nowhere near any windows in your home.

Hazard-proof your home
Electrical appliances, such as wires and cords also need to be concealed behind heavy furniture. Tall lamps can be easily pulled over if your baby pulls at them, so make sure they are out of their reach at all times.

Lock any cupboards that contain medicine or household cleaning products so your baby cannot get to them. Poisonous substances such as bleach need to be in a location where they cannot be gotten at whatsoever by your child.

Many baby hazards are found in your bins and waste paper baskets. Items such as plastic bags, batteries and pens are all dangerous to your baby and you should place these far out of reach from your child. If you have access to the internet, a great place for advice and information on safety for newborns is the BBC health section, which raises awareness about the dangers of such hazards in your home.

Protect your baby’s fingers and mouth
Purchase hinge protectors to stop your baby from pinching their fingers in ironing boards, door jams and other such things. Hinge protectors are relatively cheap and will bring you peace of mind when it comes to your baby’s safety.

Ensure that any pens, cutlery, pins or any other sharp items are secured firmly away in locked cupboards. Your baby will naturally put such items in their mouth and this can cause choking and other hazards.

Prevent scalds
As a rule, make sure all hot drinks are kept away from any work surfaces or tables in your home, so your baby cannot reach them. If you are breastfeeding your baby, make sure you are safely away from any hot drinks as the tiniest of droplets can easily scald them. If you are making a hot drink, like a tea or coffee, make sure your baby is away from the area as hot liquid can still badly scald them fifteen minutes after being poured.

Fit smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
Before your baby comes home, it’s vital that you make sure the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home are working.  With this in mind, fit at least one smoke detector on every level of your home and in any hallways near to your bedrooms. It’s also really important to have a clear escape plan in case of a fire.

There are six simple ways you can safety proof your home before you return with your baby. Hopefully, this will help quieten your mind a little and allow you to enjoy what should be a blissful time.

5 Ways to Involve Your Kids in Planning Their Birthday

Having a birthday party is so exciting! There is so much to do and organising a party can be so much fun! This a great opportunity to get your kids involved in the planning stage. The anticipation of having a party can be just as exciting as the party itself. This is your child’s special day. Involving them as much as possible will make them feel extra special. There are so many things going on throughout the year and life is always so busy, so this is a great opportunity to let them do some planning for their special day.

Guest List
Ask your child who they would like to invite to the party. Depending on their age, it may also be necessary to invite some parents if the children are quite young. Decide how many guests you are able to host and stick to that number. With younger school age children, make sure they do interact with the names on the list as younger ones may want to invite the whole class! Also take into account any family members you may wish to invite.

Choose a Venue
Once you have decided on the number of guests, you can choose a venue. Ask your child whether they would prefer to have a party at home, have a party in the park or go to a venue that specifically caters for children’s parties.

Invitations
Invitations are a great way to get children involved in planning their birthday party. You can get free templates on the internet and then print out the invitations or let your child make their own invitations.

Games
Games can be difficult to decide upon. Write down a list of age appropriate games and explain what they are to your child. Depending on the length of time the party will go for, let your child choose as many games as practical.

Party food
Ask your child what food they would like to have at the party. Make sure you are aware if any of the guests have food allergies to nuts or eggs, for example. Decide upon a menu that is age appropriate. Also get your child involved in making up the party bags. Wherever your child decides to have their party, the preparation will be much the same. Some children opt for a few friends, whilst others will want to invite everyone they know. Some children may be happy with a family dinner with just one friend.

Whatever your child chooses, it is their birthday and it is their decision. Children also love to help with decorations. They can blow up balloons, put up streamers and decorate party bags or invitations with self inking rubber stamps. Rubber stamps have a multitude of uses and kids just love stamping away. You can get stamps saying ‘happy birthday’ or stamps with decorative images from online retailers such as Vistaprint. By getting your child involved in planning their party, it actually makes their birthday seem to go on for longer. Because this exciting event only happens once a year, your child will be absolutely thrilled to help with all the planning.

5 Tips to Start a Blog.

Blogs are great. You can write about any topic and publish your work online, where it can potentially be read by millions of people. However, starting a blog can be a daunting enterprise. There are a wide variety of platforms and strategies to consider. Use the following five tips to get you started.

State Your Goals
Is this going to be a personal blog? Are you running this blog for a business in order to sell products? Are you hoping to share your brilliant writing with the world so that you can build web traffic and sell ad space on your site? Whatever your objectives are, make sure they remain in the forefront of your mind. Maybe invest in a proper ips monitor as you’ll have to be staring at a screen for long hours. Determining what you want your blog to do for you will affect every decision you make regarding its future.

Determine Your Niche
It would be awesome if your blog eventually reaches a level of mass appeal, but when you're first starting out, it's important to know what your niche is. It'll help keep your writing focused. For example, if you want to start a comic book blog, you should stick to topics related to that niche. However, if you're writing a blog about Meditteraniean cuisine, you should keep your thoughts on the upcoming Superman movie to yourself.

Find the Right Platform
You’ll need a platform on which to host your blog, and if you’re new to blogs and web design in general, you’ll want something simple and straightforward. WordPress.com and Blogger.com are great options for the first-time blogger; they’re easy to use, and best of all, they’re free. However, if you’re running a business blog, you may want a more sophisticated platform.

Cultivate Your Audience
Knowing your niche is important, because it can help you build a strategy in terms of increasing readership. The first people who will learn about your blog will probably be your friends and family, but if you want to branch out, you’ll need to know where to find your audience. To use the comic book blog example, you should visit other comic book blogs and forums. Don't immediately post your blog link on these sites, or you may get booted off for spamming. Take the time to build relationships with other authors and readers, and share your link when you feel it's appropriate.

Be Consistent
The more regularly you post content, the higher your readership will be. There may be days when you don’t feel like writing, and you'll want to blow it off. Taking a break is fine. You don’t have to post something every day, but you should publish a new post at least once a week. Ultimately, you'll get out of your blog what you put into it.

Hopefully, you found these five tips helpful. Do you have any tips for first-time bloggers? Share your thoughts in the comments section.

Sample Room, finally!

Over the weekend, I received my first-ever haul from Sample Room. If you're following me on Instagram and Twitter, then chances are, you've seen this photo on your timeline or my profile page.
Sample Room haul! My first ever! :)
I'm a late-bloomer to the Sample Room craze, I know. It's been all the rage for the past few months, and I'm joining the bandwagon just now. You see, my previous attempts at getting free samples were futile. (Yes, you heard me right. Free!) Samples run out very fast, and each time I try to grab one (or two) they're already out of stock! But luck was on my side this time, and I managed to snag these for my myself. Finally!

So what's inside my Sample Room haul?
First, there's Cure Natural Aqua Gel, which is said to be Japan's number one exfoliator. Seeing how "one bottle is sold every 12 seconds in Japan", then I guess this product must be really, really good. Sample size for this product is five sachets, for five days' use.

Next up is C-Lium Fibre in capsule form. After my Brand Ambassador stint with A-Life, I've gotten to know more about other Pascual Laboratories products, and C-Lium Fibre is one of them. I decided to give this product a try because I've heard good reviews about it, plus I have bathroom (and weight, lol) issues that I need to address. Haha! Sample size, by the way, is 60 capsules good for six days.

Of course, I'll be sharing my experience with these products here in my blog. That means more product reviews in the days to come. :)

Wanna try these products for yourself? Then join the Sample Room craze, too, and get them for FREE!

Get Spring Cleaning for a Sparkling Home.

With warm weather right around the corner, it's no surprise that for many of us, thoughts have turned to spring cleaning. If you are feeling daunted by the amount of work involved - or you simply don't know where to begin - don't worry! We've compiled some top tips to get your home back to its best in time for spring.

Organization is crucial
Have you ever heard the old saying "There is a place for everything and everything in its place"? By establishing a system for where things are supposed to go, it is often far easier to keep them tidy.

A great way to get yourself on the path to a tidier home is to get organised - ensuring you have adequate shelving, cupboards and drawers to stow away specific items will help make clutter a thing of the past.

One smart solution is to allocate a cupboard, basket or other storage space to each member of the family, where they can toss gloves, hats, keys, wallets and handbags when they come in the door. This can cut down on clutter and will also ensure you never misplace essentials - such as your keys - when you are in a rush to get out the door.

Tidy up your garage
It's not surprising that the garage is among the most common places in your home for clutter to develop - after all, if you don't spend a lot of time in there, it is very easy to adopt an 'out of sight, out of mind' attitude to its contents.

The garage is also often home to a number of miscellaneous items, from tools to sporting equipment. Without an effective organisational solution in place, it can easily get cluttered and messy. Metal garage storage shelves is one way to easily combat this problem and ensure these items don't collect dust or get damaged sitting on the floor.

Make time for a deep clean
Once you've cleared up the clutter and set up an organised system where things can be put away, it's time to really get down to the nitty-gritty of spring cleaning.

Some people find that they like to make a weekend project out of this task and involve the whole family, while others prefer their deep cleaning to be done room by room. Whatever your preference, it is important to set up a schedule of who will be doing what jobs. For example, you may wish to assign each child a specific duty (one hoovers while the other dusts) or give them a checklist of jobs to complete in a particular room.

Of course, there are others still who prefer to leave the tough jobs to the professionals. If you're keen to get your carpets cleaned, for example, you can easily hire a machine to do the job - or you can send in the pros and avoid the heavy lifting.

Maintenance is key
Now that your home looks ship-shape, it is time to tackle the task of maintaining that spring clean feeling all year-round. Your organisational efforts are likely to pay off in terms of cutting the clutter - especially if you can get everyone into the habit of using their storage space.

In terms of cleaning, tackling one small job a day can often be more manageable than saving everything up for a weekend. Divide your home into seven sections (or six, if you fancy a well-deserved day off) and complete one section a day. Before you know it, you'll have turned maintenance into a habit.

Cars for Mums on the Move.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. Thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Not every vehicle can handle the rigours of motherhood - modern mums are a busy lot, dividing their time between work, play, looking after the kids and taking care of household chores.

That's why they need to have a trusty vehicle they can rely on to help them cope with the demands of the day. Safety, versatility and affordability are also key factors and here is a range of compatible cars - from small and fuel efficient to larger and more robust for those with a big family to ferry around.

Whether you're after something stylish when dropping the kids of at school, for long journeys, or travelling to the local bingo hall - the choice for family cars has never been greater.

Small, safe and smart
The mighty MINI One is bursting with get-up-and-go and dripping with charm. Safe, reliable and easy to park, you won't have to worry about not being able to get into tight spots. At the same time, it's roomy with plenty of space to fit in everything you need for an outing with your little one.

On the road you can rely on the MINI One to be your bodyguard as various sensors recognise dangers before they even have a chance to happen, allowing you to react in good time. In tricky situations, you're also supported by intelligent suspension and a smart braking system.

Spotlight | SkinFood Sugar Cookie Blusher in Bebe Pink.

The past few days have been hot as hell and unbelievably humid. Times like these, I wear makeup to a minimum and keep my face as bare as possible. Doing my makeup routine in this kind of heat is already painstaking, what more if I wear full makeup under the scorching hot summer sun?

And so for the time being, I decided to keep my 'warm' blushers at bay (you know how fond I am of my Sleek Makeup Blush in Pomegranate and Tony Moly's Cheek Tint in Cherry Pink) and use something 'cool' instead. Case in point, the SkinFood Sugar Cookie Blusher which was sent to me by my husband about six months ago.
SkinFood Sugar Cookie Blusher + my ecoTools mini Kabuki brush. :)
I first saw this product in the SkinFood website, where it's described as a "specially oven-baked blusher with cute and lovely colors infused with pearl creates radiant, lustrous, and vibrant-looking cheeks".
They're awfully cute alright, which is the main reason why I asked the husband to get this for me. I can't remember if it was my choice or his, but I ended up with Blusher #01 aka Bebe Pink. It's priced at 7000 Korean Won, which is about more or less Php 260 (or about US$5) when converted.
So cute and dainty.
The SkinFood Sugar Cookie Blusher comes in a little cardboard compact. Screw the cap off, and ta-da! You get a domed, baked blusher in a lovely shade of pink.
Bebe Pink!
Flip it over and you'll see the product description. In Hangul.
If you can read Hangul, good for you! :)
Now here's how the product looks like when swatched on the skin.
Sheer. Almost too sheer.
Bebe Pink has very fine shimmers in it. Not chunky or glittery, just good enough to give your cheeks a nice glow and make your face appear bright and dewy.

It's a bit difficult to work with this blusher, though. I tried using a regular blush brush at first, but the color just wouldn't come out. Switching to a mini kabuki, I somehow managed to pack the brush with color and apply it on my skin.
Cheeks with just a hint of pink. :)
Yes, the color is sheer. Maybe too sheer for some, but I'm really liking the pink glow this blusher does for my cheeks. It makes my face glisten like an innocent teenager, hahaha!

My husband is totally digging this look, too. Perhaps because he bought the blusher? Lol.

What I love:
- Cute, compact packaging.
- Has a mild, subtly sweet scent.
- Dewy effect on the cheeks.
- Gives the face a nice, healthy glow.
- Affordable price (when bought in Korea, that is).

What you might not like:
- Color might be too sheer for some.
- A bit difficult to work with, if you don't have the right brush.

Spazz Saturday #20 | G-Dragon releases music video for MichiGO!

After much anticipation from fans all over the world, the music video for G-Dragon’s latest single has finally been released. At exactly 12 midnight today, April 20, ‘MichiGO’ made its premiere on Big Bang’s official YouTube channel.

In an earlier statement, YG Entertainment said, “G-Dragon’s ‘MichiGO’ will not be released on any music website in Korea or in other countries. It was planned to be shown only during G-Dragon’s world tour and ‘LINE’, but since many fans asked for it, we decided to show the music video.

MichiGO was first unveiled last March, during the Seoul leg of G-Dragon’s One of a Kind World Tour. The concert tour is currently in progress and will cover 13 cities in 8 different countries.
