Hair Story | Liese Bubble Hair Color in Milk Tea Brown.

Hello everyone, and happy new year! I hope you're all off to a good start this 2025. 

As for me, well, I have not been blogging much for the past year or so. I'm still active on my social media pages, but I sort of had a prolonged blogger burnout and I just can't seem to write the way I did back in my heyday (haha, heyday?!). This year, I promise to update this blog more often with product reviews, food discoveries, and if possible, travel experiences. Hopefully, I can churn out at least one blog post per week (fingers crossed).

Anyway so, I was under the weather for the most part of the Christmas break. For about two weeks, I just stayed at home coughing, sneezing, and wheezing to the point that I had to take antibiotics. My fifteen-year-old nebulizer even conked out on me during this crucial time, so I had to order a new compressor nebulizer online (maybe I'll do a review about this too, who knows). And because I was sick and couldn't leave home, I resorted to DIY hair coloring just to make my hair look decent for the holidays. 

If you can remember, I used to color my hair very often with bubble hair color from Korean brands. This time, I tried a Japanese brand called Liese, which prides itself as the number one styling brand in Japan. I purchased my box of Liese Creamy Bubble Hair Color through their official Shopee page, and my order arrived after three days.

Like most bubble hair coloring, Liese Creamy Bubble Hair Color is very easy to apply. It comes with two solutions that you have to combine in the pump bottle, a sachet of hair treatment, a pair of latex gloves, and an instruction pamphlet. Sadly, there's no plastic cape in the box so you have to use your own towel or some piece of cloth that you wouldn't mind getting dye on. 

How to apply the bubble hair color.

I love how mildly-scented this product is, and how it does not sting on the scalp. This hair color is also very easy and non-messy to work with, no liquid dripping because the foam becomes dense after application. However, I feel like I lost a lot of hair while shampooing - to think that my hair is already thin to begin with. Huhu. Well, at least, this colored nicely on my hair (I left the foam on for about 30 minutes) and I liked the end result nonetheless.

If we're friends on Facebook or if you're following me on Instagram, then you probably have noticed that something other than K-dramas is keeping me busy these days.

Meet my new toy, the Hanabishi Air Fryer Oven! I got this as an anniversary gift from my husband, who has become some sort of a health buff and is addicted to air frying himself, haha!

Before I got this air fryer, I had been mulling over for weeks on which brand and model to buy. Should I get the relatively smaller and cheaper basket-type air fryer? Should I buy one of those Korean brand air fryers on Shopee? Or should I give in to the air fryers included in the Flash Sale in Lazada? Or should I go all the way to S&R for the Baumann Living Multi Air Fryer? And then I saw this Air Fryer Oven on the Hanabishi website - it was love at first sight.

I immediately got in touch with Hanabishi, asking if they could deliver the unit to Laguna. Unfortunately, they only deliver within Bulacan and the NCR. I then called up The SM Store here in my area, and asked if they have this air fryer in stock. They don't. I asked them if they would have stocks in the future. They don't know. Now let me tell you more about the Hanabishi Air Fryer Oven, and why I fell in love with it (aside from the fact that it's a healthier option since you're cooking without oil).

As far as clean-up is concerned, it's relatively easy with the Hanabishi Air Fryer Oven. I simply wash the basket, rack, and pan with running water and dishwashing liquid, and clean the inside of the air fryer with a damp sponge or cloth. I've had my air fryer for about a month and a half, and my experience so far has been nothing short of enjoyable. I've cooked all sorts of food with it - potato wedges, chicken barbecue, burger steak, tonkatsu, tori karaage, baked macaroni, Dakgangjeong chicken... even hickory smoked ribs, which I have never cooked before!

To be honest, I really can't tell at this point because we all know Meralco did some sort of magic during the lockdown period and we're all burdened by extremely high electric bills. If it's any consolation, I hardly use the stove these days, so I still have a lot of gas left in my 4-month old LPG tank.

Just realized that I haven't done any product reviews or beauty-related posts in awhile, and so today, let me share with you my thoughts on the Missha The Original Tension Pact which I have been using for over a month now. I received this as gift from a friend who went on vacation to Korea last winter and completely forgot about it afterwards, lol. Thank goodness this product still has half a year before its expiration date!

Missha's The Original Tension Pact has four variants - Perfect Cover which comes in a beige pact, Natural Cover which comes in a beige pact, Tone Glow Up which comes in a blue pact, and Intense Moisture which comes in a lavender pact. The latter, as seen on the photo above, is the one that I'm using. All variants come in three shades, and as always, my Missha shade is #23. Good thing my friend got my shade right! :)

Unlike the cushions that I have tried before, Missha's The Original Tension Pact comes with a densely woven net on top which acts as a filter that prevents you from 'picking up' too much product for a 'more even' application. The puff that comes with it is a bit different, too. It's slightly denser and a tad 'puffier' than the usual blue puff. Surprisingly, you only need a few pats on the tension pact to cover your entire face.

As for the formula, the Intense Moisture Variant is creamy yet lightweight, and gives light to medium coverage. Not only does this pact conceal fine lines and cover minimal flaws (redness, uneven skin tone), it's also super moisturizing and gives your skin a radiant, dewy glow.

This product also offers sun protection at SPF37 PA++. A bit lower than my usual SPF50, but that's okay since we're experiencing colder weather these days.

Its lasting power is pretty decent, too. It stays put for at least 5 to 6 hours before it starts to settle on the fine lines around my eyes. Nothing a quick touch-up could handle.

Overall, I really enjoy using this cushion and I'm considering to repurchase in the near future. I love how it hydrates my skin especially during this time of the year when the air is cold and can be very drying on the skin. Plus points because it brightens my skin and gives it a nice glow
