5 Male Celebrities Who Are Wearing Wigs That Are All Too Apparent.

We get it. Celebrities are under tremendous pressure all the time to look their best. Not just when they are at red-carpet events. They are followed by swarms of paparazzis everywhere they go. This means they need to look good even when they are doing mundane tasks such as picking up groceries.

One of the sure-fire ways to ensure you don’t have a bad hair day is to wear a toupee or a wig. While some male celebrities are donning them like a boss, others are giving out their wig secret all too easily. No, we are not talking about Trump. There is no evidence that the golden feline on his head is actually a hair piece. We are talking about celebrities who proudly wear wigs in public that look all too much like artificial hair. In our quest to find people who are secret Dolly Parton fanboys, these are 5 male celebrities guilty of wearing all-too-obvious hair pieces.
Chuck Norris, who else?
Chuck Norris
Much like everything else he does, Chuck tops this list too. We really don’t know if he has a collection of cheap lace front wigs or that’s hair transplant performed by an actual drunken monkey. All we know is that thing deserves a standing ovation from all the bad wigs out there.
John Travolta.
John Travolta
Back in 2011, John was balding like an American eagle, now he rocks a mid-parted hairdo that would put rockstars to shame. What’s the secret behind his hairy transformation? We believe it’s a lace front wig. He is not hiding it well either.
Jason Alexander, with hair.
Jason Alexander
Honestly, no one would have guessed Jason Alexander wore a wig if they saw him for the first time. Having played Seinfeld’s George Costanza for more than a decade, his famous bald look is known to all. So, when Jason decided to wear a toupee back in 2014, let’s just say he received a bit of criticism. For no fault of the wig itself, Jason’s hairdo was immediately declared as fake. The strong public reaction is why Jason managed to secure a place on our list.
Nicolas Cage.
Nick Cage
Nicolas Cage has hair that looks just as natural as the ones on the heads of celebrities at Madame Tussauds. Back when Cage was known for starring in blockbuster movies he had a famously balding look. As his movie career took a dive his hair magically started to grow. Now, he has a full head of hair. Fortunately, the mystery of the magical hair growth is made all to obvious by the wig.
Charlie Sheen.

The lovable bad boy of Hollywood has faced his fair share of criticism and social media outrage. His offscreen antics somehow manage to eclipse the disaster that is his wig. His aging facial features coupled with that college-boy hair looks mismatched, to say the least. However, Charlie was always a straight shooter, except for the times he wasn’t. Being a sport that he is, he openly admitted wearing wigs for his famous gig on Two and a Half Men.

Unleash your Inner Diva with Divatress!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. Thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I'm quite experimental when it comes to my hair. I've had it permed a few years back, then I sported a bob after I got tired of all those curls. Later on, I went all out and had it hacked into a pixie cut, which I sported for a good number of years. About two years ago, I started to grow my hair longer and now my tresses are at its longest ever - about five inches past the shoulders.

Last year, I made a an even bolder move by fulfilling my blonde ambition. I've been a brunette all my life and transforming my hair into this ash blonde purple ombre was the most grueling thing I have ever done. Imagine having your hair bleached thrice, then having it colored with an ash base, then having it highlighted with purple streaks. I practically spent an entire day at the salon, all because I wanted to be a unicorn, haha!

Lately, I have been mulling over what hair color should I go for next. I'm considering the strawberry blonde look, but just thinking about the tedious process of bleaching my hair all over again makes me reconsider. Thankfully, I have discovered an easier way to achieve that strawberry blonde look without having to spend hours at the salon.

Divatress, a leading e-commerce company, is now gaining popularity as one of the most trusted wig retailers online. They have a large selection of lace wigs, with almost all styles and colors possible - short, curly, shoulder-length, layered, black, brown, copper red, teal, purple, and yes, even the strawberry blonde shade that I've been pondering upon!

Their prices start at around $19.95, and most of their wigs are sold at a discount, too. Orders worth more than $49 are shipped for free within the 48 states of Continental US. Good thing I have a friend in California who can order for me, and she's coming home for the holidays. Looks like I'll be a (strawberry) blonde again for Christmas!

Get Your Wig On!

Losing one's hair - whether it's due to old age, genetics, autoimmune diseases, or even chemotherapy - can be very heartbreaking. Good thing there are lots of hair loss remedies available in the market today - from simple hair regrowth shampoos to the more complicated hair transplant. And of course, there's the conventional wig.

Wig technology has become so advanced these days that they're now being worn not just as a solution for bald or thinning hair, but for aesthetic purposes as well (think cosplayers). Men's wigs have become quite popular, too, as more and more males are now paying particular attention to their looks, their style, and their crowning glory.

If you're thinking of wearing a wig, here are some tips and styling ideas that you may want to consider:

Confidence is the key. With the right attitude, you can easily pull of wearing not just a particular wig, but just about any hairstyle.

Customize your wig. Much like a designer suit, a wig needs to be tailored as well. Take your wig to your stylist and have it customized by having it the bangs cut or trimmed, or having it shaped or thinned.

Add a little spunk and flair. Be creative with your wig! Wear it with a scarf, a headband, a ribbon, or any other hair accessory.

Stay away from the oven. There is one tip that every wig wearer MUST know, and that is NEVER open the oven while wearing a synthetic wig. The heat emanating from the oven (or even the steam from a boiling pot of water) can cause irreparable damage to your wig. And so before you do cook, bake, or do anything in the kitchen, remember to remove your wig before anything else.
