Whenever I do reviews of makeup, cosmetics, and skincare products, I always give a gentle reminder to my readers that trying the same products should be done at their own discretion. Because the stuff that work for me might not necessarily work for them.
It's the same thing when it comes to mattresses. There is no single mattress that can be suitable for all people. My brother, for instance, prefers coil mattresses such as Toronto Springmade Mattresses. My grandmother, who used to complain of backache every so often, got herself a mattress designed for lumbar support. Then there's a relative of ours who bought her mattress directly from the Toronto Springmade Mattress Manufacturing Company. Hers was customized - complete with allergen protective covers - to prevent her allergies from acting up.
I, on the other hand would choose a foam mattress any given day. Good thing my husband and I share the same taste; it would have been difficult for both of us otherwise.
As a rule, if a particular mattress lets you sleep comfortably and does not give you back pains or kinks in the neck, then that mattress is the best for you.

The madness known as Moving Day.
We know about Black Friday, Boxing Day, Cyber Monday... But have you ever heard of Moving Day? Yes, there is such a thing. It's a tradition in the province of Quebec, Canada, and it falls on the same day as Canada Day, which is July 1. So while most Canadians sit back, relax, and commemorate Canada Day, the people of Quebec sweat, grunt, and tire themselves out from all that moving.
A tradition that dates back to the French colonial era, Moving Day is that time of the year when tenants who wish to vacate their current premises move out and settle into new domiciles. It's also the day moving company Montreal look forward to, and dread at the same time.
Movers Montreal are the busiest during this period of time, with the movers hustling, bustling, and working round the clock. With so many families moving out of their houses simultaneously, moving companies often run shorthanded, hence they tend to charge double, sometimes even triple their usual rates.
As of 2002, only 36% of the people in Montreal own their home. The rest are tenants, and are most likely to partake in the annual moving madness. Unless they now have houses of their own, that is.

Bye Bye Moving, Hello Hassle-Free Relocation.
If you're one of my regular readers, then perhaps you've noticed how moving companies are a familiar topic in this blog. I've featured quite a handful of companies in the past, and because I write about them so often, I thought I've seen it all. That is, until I came across this particular demenageur gatineau.
A moving company located in the city of Gatineau, Bye Bye Moving offers moving services in Ottawa for both business and residential areas. Like most moving companies, they provide moving supplies, do packing services, and have safe storage houses. For business moving, they even layout a carefully planned transition management scheme.
But what sets Bye Bye Moving from its competitors is the fact that they have a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accreditation to their name. On a scale of A+ to F, Bye Bye Moving was given an A+ in the BBB Rating System, as they have met or perhaps even surpassed BBB's accreditation standards. This makes Bye Bye Moving the top choice in the field of demenagement gatineau.
Also commendable are the services they offer that go beyond moving supplies and facilitating deliveries. Bye Bye Moving has a complete junk removal service that allows the use of their waste trailers for all the junk, shingles, debris, and construction materials that need to be disposed - snow included!
A service that's rare for most moving companies, Snow Removal is the newest addition to their website's service options. This sure makes Bye Bye Moving a force to be wrecking with in the industry.

Air Specialiste Inc | On-Call 24/7.
Perhaps one of the worst things that can ever happen to a typical Canadian home is to have the heater broken in the dead of the night, at this time of the year. It is winter, after all, with temperatures dipping as low as 20 degrees Celsius. And to have your home's heating system conk out during this cold season can truly be a nightmare.
Good thing there's a chaffauge montréal that offers emergency service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Air Specialiste Inc., one of the most in-demand teams in Montreal, offers a full range of services - from refrigeration to ventilation, from thermo pump montreal to air conditioners.
Supplied by all major manufacturers and distributors in the HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) industry, Air Specialiste Inc.'s priority is to meet and satisfy the customer's needs while taking their financial capability into consideration.
Air Specialiste Inc. also takes pride in their fully-equipped service trucks. With an inventory of tools and parts that can rival any competition, Air Specialiste's group of experts and well-trained technicians can perform repairs and installations as quickly and as efficiently as possible. By doing so, downtime is reduced, and the customer's operating expenses are also kept to a minimum.
And so whether it's at the most ungodly hour, or in the dead of winter, it's always good to know that there's someone who can help you out whenever your heater conks out on you.

Spotlight | MaskerAide Hydrating Sheet Mask.
Perhaps one of the prettiest gifts I received last Christmas was the package I got from MaskerAide. From the envelope, to the ribbon, to the box, to the product itself, everything just screamed of cuteness. I posted this collage on Instagram as soon as I got home from the post office, and my friends went gaga over that lovely pink ribbon, haha!

| Isn't this lovely? |
Now would you believe this gift came from halfway around the world? Yup, this came all the way from Toronto, Canada, where these sheet masks are formulated.
What is a sheet mask, you might ask? (Because you've seen a wash-off mask, a clay mask, and a mud pack in this blog - but never a sheet mask.)
A sheet mask is a special type of face mask made from a thin fiber sheet (say, a tissue) that is cut to the contours of the face and is soaked in serum. Unlike the aforementioned masks which can be quite messy to apply, sheet masks are simply worn on the face like this.
As the mask sits on your face, the vitamins and nutrients infused in the mask are incubated and get soaked on to the skin, while thecooling effect stimulates blood flow and relaxes the facial muscles. MaskerAide sheet masks provide deep hydration and eliminates signs of aging, dryness, and dehydration on the skin. This translates into a soft, supple, and radiant-looking skin.
The complete MaskerAide line includes six different types of sheet masks, and I'm thankful to have received one of each. Let me walk you through these variants, clockwise starting with the leftmost on the top row.
The Detox Diva, a mask drenched in clear serum, contains a powerful mix of antioxidants to cleanse and detoxify the skin. The All Nighter is perfect for those days when your skin is all parched and dry from the lack of proper sleep, while the Weather Warrior is best for those days when the extreme weather (think Philippine summer or Canadian winter) has taken toll on your skin.
For a more relaxing sleep, the Beauty Rest'ore mask and its moisturizing and calming formula should do the trick. For those who would like to retain their skin's youthful glow, then the I Don't Wanna Grow Up mask is the way to go. Finally, for the night owls and party animals, Pre Party Prep primes the skin and gets it ready for a night of partying.
All of MaskerAide's sheet masks are drenched in a highly-concentrated, Argan Oil-based serum. And as we all know, Argan Oil is greatly valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties.
In addition, MaskerAide takes pride in their mask's gentle formulation, making their product suitable for even those with sensitive skin. Their sheet masks are also free of harsh chemicals such as parabens, glycerin, mineral oil, and benzophenone. Plus points for using eco-friendly, vegan-friendly, and completely recyclable materials and packaging!
Priced at $4.99 each, these MaskerAide sheet masks have taken Canada by storm and are available in spas, boutiques, and beauty outlets from Vancouver all the way to Toronto. (To see the complete list of stores, click here.) They can be bought online, too, and the good news is, MaskerAide ships worldwide!
I'm sleeping with a MaskerAide sheet mask tonight. That is, once I make up my mind which variant to use. They're all so cute, I can't even bring myself to tear the packaging! And once I do, expect me to share my complete MaskerAide experience. More product reviews to look forward to, yay! :)
