Spotlight | Nature Republic Hand and Nature Hand Cream.

Nature Republic had a Buy One, Take One promo for the Hand and Nature Hand Cream a few months back, which was the main reason why I included this in my cart (along with the Bulgarian Rose Toner and the Provence Long Lasting Lipstick which I have previously reviewed in this blog.)

Hand and Nature Hand Creams.
They originally sell for Php 375 (around $8) each, which I find a tad too expensive for such a small 30 mL tube. But getting two tubes for the price of one is of course, a totally different story. :)
Up close.
I wanted to get two different variants (there are actually 18 variants in this hand cream line), but the sales personnel told me that they have to be the same variant to qualify for the promo. So there, I ended up with two tubes of Vanilla - my scent of choice when it comes to lotions and hand creams.
Vanilla, my love. :)
The Nature Republic Hand and Nature Hand Cream contains 15% shea butter to moisturize and nourish the skin.
Vanilla + Shea Butter. :)
I love its light and silky texture, and how it's easily absorbed by the skin. It's also non-greasy, and does a good job of keeping your hands moisturized.
Creamy goodness.
As for the scent, it smells a lot like Bath and Body Works' Warm Vanilla Sugar - sweet, without being too cloying. The scent, however, does not last through the day. It fades into a subtle scent after an hour or so, unlike other hand cream brands that can actually double up as perfume.

Now here's the thing about the Hand and Nature Hand Cream. They're actually EXO-endorsed, with some of the variants being the 'scent of choice' of the EXO members. Turns out, mine is Lay's choice, and surprisingly, Lay happens to be my cousin's bias.
Find your bias' choice!
And for a limited time only, these hand creams are available in a completely different packaging that EXO fans would definitely lust, drool, and swoon over (haha!).
Limited Edition EXO Hand Cream set.
I have no idea how much these cost here in the Philippines, but in Korea, they're sold at 19800 won per set (around Php 800 or $18). If I were an EXO fan, I'd definitely buy these. Take note of the word 'if', lol! :)

Spotlight | Human Heart Nature 100% Natural Healthy Lotion.

Last week, I had the honor of receiving this wonderful gift from Gandang Kalikasan Inc. (Thanks Sara and Reby for this surprise!) It's a box filled with Human Heart Nature goodies - some of their newest products that were launched during the last Magalogue Turnover.
L-R: 100% Natural Healthy Lotion, 100% Natural Day Moisturizer,
Natural Feminine Wash in Powder Cool, 100% Natural Kids Bath Soap.
I'll be featuring every single one of these products, starting with the 100% Natural Healthy Lotion. I've been using it since the day this box arrived at my place and I must say, I am loving this new Blossom Beauty variant a lot. It comes in a refreshing fruity floral scent that's not too mild and not too strong. Plus the scent lingers on the skin for hours. I actually find the Blossom Beauty better than the other two variants of the Natural Healthy Lotion.
100% Natural Healthy Lotion in 200mL and 50mL bottles.
Like its predecessors - the Berry Bliss and Vanilla Delight variants - this new product contains no harmful chemicals, no parabens, no mineral oil, and no synthetic fragrances.
Blossom Beauty.
But what gives this new lotion the edge is that it's packed with twelve, yes twelve of nature's best nutrients and antioxidants. These are: Vitamins A, B1, B2, B9, B12, C, E, K, amino acids, essential fatty acids, phytosterols, and zinc. That's quite a lot, huh?
Remember, all lotions can moisturize.
But not all of them are healthy!
But wait, there's more! (I sound like an ad from the Home Shopping Network, hahaha!)
This lotion also contains soybean oil that protects your skin from harmful UV rays and a 24-hour moisture booster from sugarcane compound. Not to mention the already remarkable all-natural blend of aloe vera leaf juice and sunflower and avocado oils that locks in moisture and makes the skin soft, smooth, and beautifully radiant.
All natural, cruelty-free. :)
Its thin and runny-like consistency allows for easy absorption and doesn't leave the skin with a greasy, heavy feel. It's the kind of lotion that you'd want to use even on a hot, summer day. (Of course I know it's already autumn in most parts of the globe and the days are getting colder and all.)
Runny, but non-sticky.
What I love:
- Made with all-natural ingredients.
- Contains no harmful chemicals.
- Cruelty-free.
- Proudly Philippine-made.
- Fruity, floral scent that lingers on the skin.
- Loaded with nutrients and antioxidants.
- Softens, smoothes, and moisturizes the skin.
- Feels light on the skin.

What you might not like:
- This is an organic product, so no SPF.
- I know there are people who are allergic to soy. Be wary, as this contains soybean oil.

The Blossom Beauty 100% Natural Healthy Lotion comes in two sizes - 50mL (Php 64.75) and 200mL (Php 199.75), and can be purchased online, through registered dealers, or at local branches nationwide. Oh, and yes, Human Heart Nature is available in the United States, too! :)

Spotlight | Celeteque Radiance Body Cream.

If there's one skincare product that I can't live without, it's lotion. I'm a self-confessed lotion addict. I love 'em so much to the point that I have all sorts of brands and scents lined up in my dresser, ready for my disposal.

And so when I chanced upon the Celeteque Radiance Body Cream in the Sample Room inventory, I got a sample right away without even thinking twice. Especially after seeing that the sample you'll be getting is actually a full-sized product.
Celeteque Radiance Body Cream.
So here, my dear readers, is the 200 mL bottle of the Celeteque Radiance Body Cream. Actual retail price is Php 270, and they're available at most drugstores and supermarkets.
Multi-Bright Complex for fairer skin!
And as per product description, this product contains MultiBright Complex - 'a revolutionary fusion of seven plant extracts that reduces melanin to help achieve fairer and even-toned skin'. The seven plant extracts refer to the following: mallow, peppermint, cowslip, lady's mantle, fluellen, balm mint, and yarrow. I listed them down just in case any of you are allergic to the plants mentioned above. As for me, my sensitive skin had no allergic reactions to this product.
Comes in an easy-to-squeeze bottle.
I still can't attest to the whitening properties of this product, as I've been using this for barely a week. I'll keep you all posted for any significant changes in my skin tone. But for now, I'm really loving this product's moisturizing properties - it makes your skin smooth and supple, and gives it a healthy, radiant glow.
Squeeze it, baby!
For a body cream, this product's texture is actually very light and silky, and is easily absorbed by the skin. It's non-greasy, and doesn't feel icky even when you're wearing it on a hot and humid day. Plus points for the Radiance Body Cream's sun protection factor (SPF15).
Light and non-greasy. :)
This product is unscented (or at least that's what my olfactory nerves tell me) which is okay with me, though I must admit I prefer my lotions scented.

What I love:
- Leaves the skin smooth and supple.
- Makes the skin radiant and glowing.
- SPF 15.
- Texture is light and non-greasy.
- Easily absorbed by the skin.
- Hypoallergenic.
- Comes in a sleek, easy-to-squeeze bottle.
- Affordable price.
- Available at local drugstores and supermarkets.

What you might not like:
- None that I can think of. :)

From the looks of it, this product will easily make its way to my list of favorite lotions. How about you, what's your favorite lotion? :)

Haul | Pretty Pinks from Avon.

I paid a visit to the Avon outlet in our area the other day - something I usually do at least twice a month. And because there are a lot of great buys in this month's catalog, I didn't leave the store empty-handed.

Latest Avon haul.
Being an Avon Franchise Dealer (aka Avon lady) sure has its perks. For one, you get to try their latest products before they're made available to the public.

Strawberry and White Chocolate Lotion and Shower Gel.
The Strawberry and White Chocolate variant is the latest addition to the Avon Naturals line. They're also included in this month's Advanced Try Me Offers, giving FDs a chance to stock up on items before they appear on the next catalog. The lotion and shower gel are priced at Php 99 each or Php 189 if you get two. Next month, they'll be priced at Php 109 each or Php 199 for any two.

I'm a sucker for anything strawberry or chocolate, so I'm totally sold with this product. The lotion is lightweight, not sticky nor greasy, and gentle on the skin. Same goes for the shower gel, which doesn't leave the skin dry. I love the sweet, yummy scent most of all, and how it lingers on your skin for hours. (Quick tip: Layer your scent so they'll last longer on you! Use a shower gel, lotion, and - if possible - a perfume of the same product line.)

Avon Style Essentials - the logo and packaging is just so posh.
Another new item is the Colored Eyelash Curler, which is part of the revamped Avon Style Essentials line. The curler is currently on sale at Php 89 (actual price of Php 179), with any purchase of Avon Style or Simply Pretty product featured on the catalog. And that's the reason why those two items are pictured together. I bought that lip gloss just so I can get the eyelash curler.

Pretty in pink eyelash curler!
And I got that eyelash curler just because it's cute. It's made of steel and the handles are made of plastic. Nothing too exceptional about it, except the fact that they look pretty. Heck, even the box is reeking of prettiness.

Simply Pretty Shiny Liquid Lipgloss.
If you've noticed from my FOTD posts, I don't use lip gloss that much. Check my train case and you'll see that I own just one lip gloss, the MAC Clear Lip Gel. This Avon lip gloss now makes two.

Tangerine Sparkles.
I didn't even give much thought when I chose this color. I just chose the one which doesn't look too light or too dark, then headed straight for the checkout counter.  I'm not sure why, but I'm not really comfortable wearing lip gloss. They feel heavy and icky on my lips - like I'm wearing molasses or something.

And they call this tangerine.
Did this Php115 lip gloss made me think otherwise? Not really. I'd rather have the conventional lipstick, thank you very much.

Now another advantage of being an Avon FD is the discounts. (This is the profitable part of being an Avon lady. If you take this business opportunity seriously, it could be very lucrative.) That's less 25% on all purchases, including sale items. This haul barely cost me Php300.

And the best part? It's on credit. I can pay for this next month! So if you're itching for some makeup fix but budget is tight, then Avon is the way to go. Just don't forget to settle your balance on or before the due date as there are penalties for late payments. Now lemme mark that on my planner. :)
