If you're an ELF and your bias is either Siwon (ehem, like me) or Donghae, and if you're residing in the Philippines, then you're in luck. The boys are coming to Manila on August 15 for the launching of their Bench product line!
Bench has an ongoing promo in line with this launch, and at stake are passes to the exclusive 'SiHae in Manila' event. Seven hundred passes will be given away, which means seven hundred lucky fans will get to meet and greet the boys at the Trinoma Activity Center, where the event will be held.
I've listed below the official mechanics to the promo, as posted on the Bench website.
- For every single receipt purchase of P 1,000.00 worth of any items at participating stores, customers are entitled to a raffle coupon & a chance to be part of SiHae launch!
- 700 winners are entitled to enter the SiHae launch.
- Maximum of 2 raffle coupons per receipt.
- Valid only for Cash, Credit Card, GC & EPS Transaction.
- Raffle coupon/s will automatically be handed out upon payment.
- Drop boxes are placed at the store counters of the participating stores.
- Customer must fill up the raffle coupon with his/her complete name, address, email address, telephone number, twitter username (if applicable) & affix his/her signature on the raffle coupon and must be dropped in drop boxes.
- Raffle date will be on August 10, 2012 at 5pm in Suyen corporation office with DTI and Bench representative.
- Cutoff date of submission of entries : August 8, 2012 (store closing hours)
- Employees of Suyen Corporation and all participating stores including their relatives up to 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promo.
- A participant can only win ONCE.
- Winners will be informed through registered mail, twitter direct message and phone call. List of Winners will be posted at all participating stores.
- Suyen Corporation reserves the right to use the names and images of the winners for publicity and promotion purposes.
- Winners can enter the event area by presenting the following requirements to the Suyen Corporation representative in the event area:
One (1) valid ID: should be school/government issued ID with photograph & signature
Winning raffle coupon
Registered mail
- In the event that the winner will not be able to retrieve the prize, an authorized representative should bring and present the following requirements:
Authorization Letter from the winner
One (1) valid ID of the winner & One (1) valid ID of the authorized person (should be government issued ID with photograph & signature)
Registered mail
Winning raffle coupon
- Transaction will still earn points for lifestyle cardholders.
- Valid to apply discount when red discount card is presented.
Participating Bench stores:
TriNoma, Glorietta 5, Alabang Town Center, Market Market, SM Megamall, SM North Edsa, SM Fairview, SM Southmall
But then again, if you're an ELF, Siwon/Donghae-biased, I'm pretty sure this news won't even be a surprise. You could have already secured raffle tickets by now, for all I know. ;)

Pucker Up! | Maybelline Baby Lips in Anti-Oxidant Berry.
Although these line of lip balms from Maybelline have been in the market for quite some time now (they were launched around October last year, If I'm not mistaken), they're definitely new in this part of country. Saw them on display at Watson's (SM San Pablo) 'New Products' section for the first time last month, during the 3-day mallwide sale.
After receiving this massive loot from my husband, I made a resolve to refrain from buying makeup for the time being. But I just couldn't resist these pretty little things.
Their design and packaging are definitely screaming for attention. The flavors look yummy, and the promise of renewed, baby-soft lips makes them all the more interesting.
I wanted to try them all, but since I still have an ample supply from Carmex, I bought just one lip balm. I went for the Anti-Oxidant Berry because it's pink. And seeing how only a few of them were left in the display rack, I figured it's the best-seller among the four flavors.
Don't confuse this with the US version of Baby Lips, though. Theirs are tinted lip balms (think Revlon's ColorBurst Lip Butter) that come in six different variants. Ours are untinted, and come in four flavors.
What I love:
- The packaging. (Very cute, IMHO.)
- The price. (Php 79 only.)
- The sun protection factor.
- The scent. (Sweet and light berry scent, that's not overpowering.)
- Non-greasy and lightweight.
- Moisturizes and softens lips.
What I don't like:
- Their animal testing policy. (Quite confusing since what the company claims is different from what the Leaping Bunny says.)

The Maybelline promise - instant eight-hour moisture, rejuvenated lips in one week.
Its active ingredient, centella, is known for its anti-aging and rejuvenating properties. Other ingredients found in the Baby Lips are shea butter and vitamin complex. The former has healing properties, while the latter is a known anti-oxidant.
As such, this lip balm not only moisturizes, it also makes your kisser softer and more supple. Reduces fine lines, too. Sun protection is also a bonus. SPF20 on a lip balm, I'm fine with that.

I'm tempted to try the Relieving Menthol variant, just so I could compare it against the classic Carmex. But I must restrain myself from buying since I have a pack of my favorite EOS - the real HG lip balm - arriving very soon.
On a different note, great things are about to happen to The Rebel Sweetheart.
August is gonna be awesome, folks! I will TAKE CONTROL!
Sounds cryptic for now, but I will spill the beans very soon. Watch out for it! :)
