Spotlight | Missha The Original Tension Pact.

Just realized that I haven't done any product reviews or beauty-related posts in awhile, and so today, let me share with you my thoughts on the Missha The Original Tension Pact which I have been using for over a month now. I received this as gift from a friend who went on vacation to Korea last winter and completely forgot about it afterwards, lol. Thank goodness this product still has half a year before its expiration date!
Missha The Original Tension Pact (Intense Moisture).
Missha's The Original Tension Pact has four variants - Perfect Cover which comes in a beige pact, Natural Cover which comes in a beige pact, Tone Glow Up which comes in a blue pact, and Intense Moisture which comes in a lavender pact. The latter, as seen on the photo above, is the one that I'm using. All variants come in three shades, and as always, my Missha shade is #23. Good thing my friend got my shade right! :)
Unboxing the Missha The Original Tension Pact (Intense Moisture).
Care notes on the protective seal.
Unlike the cushions that I have tried before, Missha's The Original Tension Pact comes with a densely woven net on top which acts as a filter that prevents you from 'picking up' too much product for a 'more even' application. The puff that comes with it is a bit different, too. It's slightly denser and a tad 'puffier' than the usual blue puff. Surprisingly, you only need a few pats on the tension pact to cover your entire face.
The 'tension net'.
Slightly denser, beige puff.
As for the formula, the Intense Moisture Variant is creamy yet lightweight, and gives light to medium coverage. Not only does this pact conceal fine lines and cover minimal flaws (redness, uneven skin tone), it's also super moisturizing and gives your skin a radiant, dewy glow.
Swatched under natural light.
This product also offers sun protection at SPF37 PA++. A bit lower than my usual SPF50, but that's okay since we're experiencing colder weather these days.
Left without cushion, right with cushion.
Its lasting power is pretty decent, too. It stays put for at least 5 to 6 hours before it starts to settle on the fine lines around my eyes. Nothing a quick touch-up could handle.
Bare face.
Wearing the Missha The Original Tension Pact (Intense Moisture).
Overall, I really enjoy using this cushion and I'm considering to repurchase in the near future. I love how it hydrates my skin especially during this time of the year when the air is cold and can be very drying on the skin. Plus points because it brightens my skin and gives it a nice glow

Spotlight | Peripera Frozen Snow White Pride Up! Pact.

It's been months since I bought this Peripera Snow White Pride Up! Pact, and it practically took me forever to decide whether I was going to use it or not. I don't have issues with the product per se, I just did not want to ruin the packaging simply because it's way too cute!
OLAF!!!
I mean just look at Olaf, smiling brightly at you. He's imprinted on the powder, and I just couldn't bring myself to deface this cuteness. Unfortunately the pact that I regularly use hit the pan just recently, and I had no choice but to use this instead.
Peripera x Frozen Snow White Pride Up! Pact.
The Peripera Frozen Snow White Pride Up! Pact is a setting powder formulated to 'tone up' your skin by 'blurring' skin pores and fine lines. It's part of the limited edition Peripera x Frozen Makeup Line, which makes this product all the more special. (I'm a sucker for themed makeup collaborations, especially if it's with Disney.)
Inside and out, the packaging is a doll!
The pact comes in two shades, #1 Milky Peach and #2 Milky Vanilla. Mine is the latter, as you can see.
#2 Milky Vanilla.
Mostly Hangul text at the back of the box.
It comes with the usual mirror and a powder puff applicator, separated from the pact by a fitted piece of plastic.
Mirror and powder puff applicator.
The plastic separator also has a smiling Olaf printed on it.
More cuteness. :)
The powder puff applicator that comes with it works fine, but since I almost always have issues with applicators breaking apart after a few uses, I use a powder brush instead.
Do you wanna build a snowman?
#2 Milky Vanilla is a very light, yellow-tinged beige, suitable for those with light to medium skintones. The shade looks lighter when swatched on my fingers, but the color blends on my face just right.
Swatched.
The powder has a really smooth, finely-milled texture and doesn't look chalky on the skin when applied. It goes on smoothly, doesn't feel heavy, and leaves the face with a nice matte finish. I love how this product is great for killing shine (my skin isn't oily, but this extremely hot Philippine weather makes my face a tad greasy), and how it doesn't add a ton of extra product on my face each time I touch-up.
Blended.
Bare skin on the left, with powder pact on the right.
Oh, and it has sun protection, too! SPF25 PA++ at that!

What I love:
- Super adorable packaging.
- Easy to apply.
- Doesn't feel chalky on the skin.
- Nice, subtle scent.
- Smoothens the skin, blurs out pores.
- Gives the skin a natural finish.
- Great for mattifying the skin.
- SPF 25 PA++.
- Affordable price (18,000 won, around $16 or Php 750).

What you might not like:
- Available in just two shades.
- Not available locally. I had to buy this directly from Korea.

Spotlight | Skin79 Skinny Mirror Pact.

It's back to school for the little man today. And now that he's already in the First Grade, his morning class now starts at 7:30 am. As such, I have to be up really early. As in earlier than the usual. Imagine waking up at 4:30 am just so I can avoid the usual school morning madness - and still have time to do my makeup before we go to school. Haha!

Speaking of makeup, here's my long overdue review of the Skin79 Mirror Pact. I've had this pact for quite sometime now (bought this for Php 700 from Kimchi Jib), but never really got around to using it that much after getting hooked to CC Creams and Etude House's Any Cushion.
Skin79 Skinny Mirror Pact.
It's a pressed powder compact that 'provides natural coverage, protects the skin from harmful UV rays, and leaves the skin smooth, soft, and radiant without clogging pores'.
Product description, directions, and ingredients at the back of the box. And they're written in English!
It comes in super sleek packaging, complete with a pink protective pouch. You might even mistake it for a flip phone at first glance. (Think Samsung W789 Henessy smartphone or the old school Nokia 6600.)
Super slim design.
The pact has a magnetic closure and a decent sized mirror that swivels 360 degrees.
Flip phone? :)
The exterior of the compact is reflective, and you can use it as a mirror, too. Careful with fingerprints though, as they tend to stick on the surface of the compact. And boy, do they stick a lot.
The exterior gives a clearer reflection compared to the mirror inside the pact.
The pact also comes with a powder puff, though I prefer using my foundation brush when applying the product. I appreciate that the puff has a separate compartment, which is good for keeping it clean and powder-free.
Powder puff.
The Skinny Mirror Pact comes in two shades - #21 Light Beige, which is the one that I have, and #23 Natural Beige.
#21 Light Beige.
I was a bit worried that the #21 shade would be lighter than my skin tone, but turns out this shade fits me just right. The powder has a finely-milled texture that doesn't look chalky on the skin when applied. It goes on smoothly, doesn't feel heavy, and leaves the face with a natural-looking, matte finish.
Left, bare skin. Right, with Skinny Mirror Pact.
It's perfect  for those days when I want to leave the house without looking 'too made up'. And it's a great mattifying powder for my favorite BB Creams.
Products used:
FACE: The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Makeup Base, Skin 79 Skinny Mirror Pact,
Benefit Erase Paste in Medium.
EYES: BYS Waterproof Eyeliner, Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara,
Ever Bilena Eyebrow Pencil in Brown.
CHEEKS: Tony Moly Cristal Blusher in Pleasure Peach.
LIPS: Etude House Minnie Kissing Lips in Minnie Red.
What I love:
- Sleek packaging.
- The protective pouch.
- The exterior can be used as a mirror.
- Easy to apply.
- Doesn't feel heavy on the skin.
- Gives the skin a natural finish.
- Mild, floral scent.
- Safe for sensitive skin.
- Effective sebum control.
- SPF 22.

What you might not like:
- Not available locally, but if you're from the Philippines you can purchase it through Kimchi Jib.
- Only two shades available.

Hope you're all having a great Monday! Have a fantastic week ahead! :)
