Spotlight | The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Makeup Base.

I visited The Face Shop the other day, with hopes of buying a bottle of my favorite Face It Velvet Skin Primer. But alas, they were out of stock! They didn't have the Face It Whitening Makeup Base either, which is why I ended up buying the Lovely ME:EX Makeup Base instead.
The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Makeup Base.
It's an oil-free, non-sticky makeup base that cuts the unwanted shine on your face and preps the skin for makeup. It makes the skin smooth and radiant and and evens out the skin tone.
The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Makeup Base.
This makeup base sells for Php 295 per tube and actually comes in two variants - 01 Green and 02 Violet. I chose the former, since green counteracts skin redness. The latter, on the other hand, is recommended for those with dull, yellowish skin.
01 Green.
It comes in an easy-squeeze tube packaging with a twist-off cap. And I say easy-squeeze because the tube is made of a very thin, metal-like material.
The Face Shop details.
Everything else is in Hangul.
Tamper sealed for your protection. :)
The product itself also has a very thin, almost watery consistency. Its low-viscosity makes the product easy to apply. On the downside, this causes the product to flow into the cap when right-side up, and more than slight pressure on the tube may cause the product to spill.
It's green, alright.
But despite that, I like how this product spreads well, and spreads evenly on the skin.
Spread, spread, spread.
Also, it does a good job of neutralizing skin redness.
Left without makeup base, right with makeup base.
And despite the green color, this makeup base doesn't leave a ghastly green cast on the skin.
Bare face. Notice the redness underneath my eyes, and along the cheekbones.
It leaves a wee bit of white cast though, but that doesn't bother me since I'll be applying BB cream/foundation afterwards, anyway. The best part? Makeup doesn't cake when you're wearing this underneath.
Red patches, gone! :)
What I love:
- Easy to apply.
- Lightweight formula.
- Just a little goes a long way.
- Semi-matte finish.
- Does a good job of neutralizing redness on the skin.
- Can double as a concealer.
- Preps the skin for makeup.
- Makeup doesn't cake or flake.
- Affordable at Php 295 per 40mL tube! (approximately $7 or 7000 Korean won)

What you might not like:
- Watery consistency.
- No SPF.
Products used:

Spotlight | Nivea Cashmere Moments Cream Oil.

It's 34 degrees outside, and I'm just about to hit the shower for the second time today. Thanks to the unforgiving summer heat, I've been spending more time in the bathroom these days, more than any other place in the house. So I'm not surprised that our water bill for the month rose to an astronomical high, lol.

Today, I'd like to share with you the bath product that I'm currently using - Nivea's Cashmere Moments Cream Oil. Mum gave me a few bottles of these the last time she came home for a vacation.
Nivea Cashmere Moments Cream Oil.
It's a shower cream oil that contains cashmere extract, which is known for its conditioning and softening benefits. It also has the luxurious scent of orchid blossom, which I really love.
Shower Cream Oil.
It's also formulated with Hydra IQ - a skincare technology that makes the skin soft and smooth, and keeps it moisturized for 24 hours. This Hydra IQ technology is actually based on a study by Prof. Peter Agre, who discovered aquaporins in the skin. This discovery won him the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize for Chemistry.
Product description and ingredients at the back.
Check the label!
Dermatologically approved and pH skin-balanced, this product works wonders on dry skin, and safe to use on sensitive skin.
Easy squeeze bottle with flip top cap.
The cream oil has a very light texture and foams quite well. You get a rich, thick lather even with just a small amount of the product.
Shower cream oil. :)
What I love:
- The lovely scent that stays on the skin for hours!
- Keeps the skin soft, smooth, and moisturized.
- I can actually skip the lotion after I've bathed with this product.
- Just a little goes a long way.
- Affordable price. (£1.99, approximately Php 146 or $3)
