Colourpop is launching a new collection in two days' time, and OMG I have never been more excited for this one! Their latest collection is actually a collaboration with Toei Animation - Sailor Moon, to be exact - and the 90's kid in me is super stoked!

Frozen

She is made not to come out until she is fully grown enough for her coronation as the queen. Predictably, on the same day of her inauguration, things go wrong. Anna and Elsa with the assistance of a gracious snowman, who has dreams of spring, have to join hands to rescue the kingdom from the forever winter.

This is a story of one girl, Cinderella, with the purest heart residing in an unkind world full of evil stepsisters and stepmom. They are ready to ruin Cinderella’s life. Cinderella tops with her clean heart after she comes across the prince and enjoys her way to a decent life. This is with the assistance of fairy grandmother and her friends, the birds, and mice.

Pollyanna
This is one of the most loved films by kids, but adults will be enamored by this classic as well. This is a movie about an orphaned child sent to live with her rich yet strict Aunt Polly. The girl is incredibly positive to see the best in life. And with her determination, she confronts the town in a manner that makes you feel like putting her on the shoulders and applauding her name. Even as you think about this while you watch the movie, the people of the town decide to cheer her towards the end of the film. Don’t miss to watch this with your kids as it encourages positivism not only in you, but the kids as well.

Pride & Prejudice
This is one of the best movies to watch with your kids. Elizabeth Bennett is a young and stubborn, sarcastic, and witty lady who has an opinion about so many things. She has a reason why she wouldn’t want to marry just because that is what is anticipated of her. On the other side is Guy Darcy, a shy and wealthy gentleman who disobediently thinks superiority exists. Unfortunately, Guy falls in love with a lady below his class. Watch this family movie to find out if they both can overcome their arrogance and prejudice.

Movies have some lessons that help our kids learn so many things they are yet to understand in life. We also get to learn some of the things we need to avoid in parenting. Above all, movies help us have fun together with our kids.

Spring may be far from over, but The Face Shop has already launched their summer collection for 2017. And surprise, surprise! It's another collaboration collection, this time with America's most famous family (not The Kardashians, lol), The Simpsons!

Hello, blog! I missed you! :)

I've been extremely busy with Yue's schoolwork and final exams that I hardly had the time to update this blog, let alone sit down in front of my laptop. But now that his exams are almost over (just two more subjects on Monday!), I reckon I will have more time to spare for this blog and finally get all those pending articles over and done with. Still not done documenting my winter Seoul Searching trip, and it's almost spring!!!

Speaking of spring, I'm looking forward to the new releases from my favorite cosmetic brands. I've seen a few teasers on Facebook and other social media pages, and from the looks of it, it's gonna be another exciting season in the world of collaboration collections!

Seoul Searching | DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition at the Seoul Museum of Art.

I'm a self-confessed museum geek. I love visiting museums and going to exhibitions; most of all, I love how intellectually stimulating and emotionally enriching a trip to the museum can be. That being said, South Korea has a proliferation of museums, which is actually one of the many reasons why I love this country. In the capital alone, there are about a hundred or so museums - in compliance to the Seoul city government's policy to have museums all over the city.

I make it a point to drop by a museum or two whenever I travel abroad (not that I go abroad very often), and last spring I had the chance to visit another well-known museum in South Korea - the Seoul Museum of Art.

Situated in the heart of South Korea's capital, the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) first opened in 1988 and has since become one of Korea's leading art venues. With its classic Renaissance-style facade combined with modern architecture, SeMA is also hailed as one of the most beautiful museum architectures in the country.

A popular attraction among locals and tourists alike, the Seoul Museum of Art has ultra-modern, well-lit galleries that showcase the works of Korea's seasoned and budding artists. Aside from being an avenue for emerging local artists, SeMA also brings the global art scene within reach of the Korean audience by hosting internationally renowned exhibitions twice a year.

Just recently, SeMA hosted DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition, the world's largest animation exhibition to date. The exhibition ran from April 30 until August 15, and Yue and I were lucky to be in Seoul during that time. It's not everyday that we get to see an exhibition as huge as this, and we definitely did not let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass us by.

Seoul Searching | The War Memorial of Korea.

I was actually saving this blog post for later, as I had planned on finishing my product review backlog before doing another Seoul Searching/travel post. But since today (June 25) marks a very important day in Korean history, I thought it would be timely to talk about the War Memorial of Korea.

Yue and I visited here last month, and out of all the landmarks/tourist spots that I had been to in Korea, this place tugged at my heartstrings the most. Perhaps its my weird fascination for war documentaries (I've watched 'Third Reich: The Rise and Fall' countless times on the History Channel). Or my penchant for romance films set against a war backdrop (think Casablanca). Or the fact that the War Memorial was built as a reminder that wars are tragic; it's sad, scary, and scarring, and should never be repeated ever again.

Whatever the reason is, I could not help but feel melancholy as I took photos of The Statue of Brothers, the most predominant edifice (in my opinion, at least) on the memorial grounds.
