Photo-Canvas | Turning Digital Photos into Work of Art.

Remember this photo of my little man when he first wore his school uniform?
I love this shot so much that I had it printed into a photo canvas courtesy of its namesake, Photo-Canvas.

Based in Harrow Road, London, Photo-Canvas is a fast-growing online business that specializes in digital imagery and canvas printing. Printed on real woven canvas sans the plastic coating, then custom hand-stretched over a strong anti-warping stretcher frame, each finished product from the store comes with the guarantee of high quality at a very affordable price.

That the photo canvas will not scratch or warp is a lifetime guarantee, too.

Every purchase comes with free wall fixings, as pictured above. In case your digital photos have time stamps, red eyes, or blemishes, these can all be fixed and removed, free of charge. Customers from the mainland UK can enjoy free delivery on their orders, regardless of size or quantity. If you're an international customer like me, your orders shall be shipped via FedEx, DHL, or TNT, or the Royal Mail.

Mine came all the way from London via FedEx.
This package actually arrived in the Philippines three days after Matthew informed me that my canvas print has been sent. However, it took me forever to claim this package as both Matthew and I weren't anticipating the customs charge that was billed to my name.

Thankfully, Photo-Canvas provides awesome customer service and after-sales service. They were in constant communication with me from order placement all the way until the shipment reached my doorstep. They were very apologetic about the customs charge of 20 GB pounds, and handled this issue accordingly despite the fact that the problem - as always - lies with Philippine customs.

Anyway, back to my photo canvas. Matthew gave me a list of printing styles which could be used on my photo, and I ended up choosing Colour Splash. This style converts your colored print into black and white with a splash of color. Price starts at 29 GB pounds, depending on the size of your photo canvas.

See the splash of color on the little man's shirt? That's how Colour Splash works. You get to choose which part of your photo retains its color, and you get to see the draft before it gets printed on canvas. Coordination happens via email, of course. But like I said, the Photo-Canvas people are very nice and friendly, and they respond to queries and requests right away, too.

Before you know it, the courier is already at your doorstep, with your order in tow.
If you're a photo enthusiast, canvas prints are a great way to display your digital photos. It's like reliving your 'Kodak moment' by simply looking at your wall. If you're into wall decors, or someone who's into decorating or interior design, a canvas print would make a good accent to any bare wall. Best of all, canvas prints also make wonderful gifts to family and friends, especially now that the Christmas season is right around the corner.
