Be still my heart, this year's Laneige Meets Fashion collection is out and oh-em-gee, the packaging alone is as pretty as can be!

Laneige Meets Fashion, year 4!

A yearly project, Laneige Meets Fashion aims to fuse Laneige with fashion designer's inspiration including collection story, product concept, and design to create an exciting, specially-packaged makeup range.

This year, the popular K-beauty brand teams up with Korean fashion designer Yoon Chon Ho, who is well-loved by celebrities and has had quite a career when it comes to fashion, having worked with some of Korea's top labels before establishing his own fashion brand, YCH.

Inspired by the modern glamour of the 80's, the Laneige x YCH Collection features classic herringbone and retro polka dot prints - hip, trendy, and definitely edgy.

Sneak Peek | Laneige x Lucky Chouette Collection.

Aaaand we're back to regular programming! In case you failed to notice (but I do hope you did, haha), I have not updated this blog for the past three weeks or so - mostly because August has been a very busy month for me and the rest of my family.

The 'busyness' began when my sister-in-law had dengue and was admitted to the hospital towards the end of the July. She was confined for almost a week, and I had to take care of my niece during her absence.

The day before she was discharged from the hospital, my London-based relatives - my aunt, my uncle, and my cousins - came home for a quick two-week vacation. And since they don't come home very often, we all wanted to spend as much time with them as possible - which means we were almost always out and about, going to places, shopping and stuff.

And then came Yue's first Quarterly Exams, which was last week. Everything else in my life takes a backseat during exam week, as I am mostly preoccupied with writing notes for review and making mock exams for the little man.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand - this long overdue blog update. I've been meaning to get this blog post up since two weeks ago, when the Laneige x Lucky Chouette Pore Control BB Cushion made a cameo on episode 14 of Doctors.

Sneak Peek | Laneige x PLAYNOMORE My Darling, Shygirl Collection.

I just realized I have not updated my blog in almost two weeks!
The little man and I got sick two Saturdays ago (nasty combination of cough, colds, and fever) and last week we were pretty busy with lots of things - his first summative exams, Intramurals at school, and his karate training. I've been too out and about these days that I don't even have the time to watch my Kdramas! (And you know how my day can never be complete without watching an episode or two of them Korean dramas.)

Speaking of Korean dramas, I've got some exciting news for all the Kdrama/Kpop/Kbeauty fans out there! Laneige Meets Fashion - a yearly collaboration between Laneige and an up-and-coming fashion brand - is back, and this year they're teaming up with PLAYNOMORE, a Korean label that's all about 'having fun with fashion'.

Launched in 2014, PLAYNOMORE illustrates contrasting concepts such as luxury versus affordability, and masculinity versus femininity with contemporary wit. The brand gained recognition with the release of the SHYGIRL bag, now an iconic 'it' bag in Korean fashion. A minimal square tote bag, the SHYGIRL is decorated with cute comic book style eyes in sequins and comes in various bright colours.

For this collaboration, the signature SHYGIRL logo was given a makeover, adding a pink heart to the eyes of SHYGIRL. Hence, the birth of the My Darling, Shygirl - a makeup collection that screams of cuteness and femininity.
