Beating the Christmas Rush.

Two week to go 'til Christmas, and this is how our tree looks like now. Brimming, isn't it?

I finished my Christmas shopping quite early this year. Anticipating a very busy December (with my Mum coming home, my niece Maggie's Christening, my birthday, and my sister's wedding all happening on the weeks before Christmas Day) I started scouting for possible gift ideas as early as September. I began working on my shopping list, too. I just have to write everything down, because I'm OC like that. Also, I hate the Christmas rush and the throng of people that come with it. Plus the fact that I really hate doing things at the last minute.

And so by early October, I'd already been booking and placing orders in US/foreign websites, thereby giving enough time for those items to be shipped before Christmas. Come November, I was halfway through that shopping list. Taking advantage of Black Friday and Thanksgiving deals, I shopped for the rest of those gift items during this period. By the time December kicked in, all the gifts that I'll be giving had already been wrapped and sitting under (more like beside) this Christmas tree.

Needless to say, I'm pretty much ready for the holidays. I hope you are, too.

Wow, good for you, done with the shopping early! I still have to flow with the holiday rush. LoL. Anticipating a busy and crowded shopping spree for me. I'm not even halfway through my list yet.

I'm glad I was able to bloghop here. I love that you have so many colorful photos! Hope you can join the Colorful Weekend meme to share all of your colorful stuff! It's a meme that I host every week{end} where everyone links up a post with their colorful photos. It can be anything... an old or new post, kids, landscape, crafts, food, anything! Hope to see you there sometime. :) {The latest is still ongoing so I hope you hop in!} Works great in tandem with other memes too.

Check it out at www.nshimaservings.com.

P.S. I'm allergic to idiots and bad grammar too! :D

I hope you get your shopping done before the malls go a-buzz. One of the perks of not being tied down to an 8-5 job is that I can go to the mall during its lazy hours and avoid the throng of shoppers. :)

Thanks for the invited! I'm so honored to join your rainbow party.

Hehe. Bad grammar allergies. :D

Figures. LoL. Scrap that. I'm in an 8-5 so I'm kinda bitter. :D

Awesomesauce, you joined! Hope to see you next week too!

Aww... don't be. At least your 8-5 gives you more cash for your Christmas spending. Whereas I... *calls husband* LOL!

Yup yup, see you next week! And the succeeding weeks, too! :D

Naku mars, wala kasi akong tyaga magbalot kaya kinarir ko ang pagpila sa SM ng mga pwedeng ipa-gift wrap. Yan ang produkto ng hoarding namin ni Yue last time. Haha! :)

Good for you! This year I started late -in Oct.:):) I'm not OC, but I do hate to be in such a crazy crowd that you can't see the merchandizse!
Love your first pic - very cozy.

Hi Emille! Thanks for stopping by!

Yup, same here. I don't like crowded places, especially since I always take my son along wherever I go.

IO make all of my gifts each year so ended up making 12 wreaths made from Civil War replica fabrics. I love them and hope the recipients like them, too. You are like me. I do not want to leave it all til the last minute. I cannot stand that. I am so glad I am done. genie

Hi Genie!
With the time and effort that you made for each personalized gift, I'm sure the recipients will love it. It's like sharing a piece of you, and not just sharing per se. :)

Thanks for stopping by! I moused over to your site and am dazzled by the photos! Keep em coming, please! ;)
