Picking The Best Child Care Facilities.

One of the best things that you can do for your child to give them an excellent start in life is to choose a quality child care facility that they can start the academic careers. If it is your first child and you have not had to look for a child care before, you can get some excellent tips on the parents.com website, so you know what to look for in a facility. You should start your search early for a child care center so that you will have plenty of time to find the perfect environment for your little angel.

Make Yourself A List Of The Different Facilities
The internet is an excellent tool, and you can find a child care in Victoria or anywhere else in the world with just a few clicks. Use the internet and find all of the facilities that are located within your area. You will need to check the prices of each child care, what hours they operate, and also if they have spaces available for your child. Draw up a list of all of the facilities that you can afford and is within travelling distance, and then visit each one.
A good child care facility can give your child an excellent start in life.

What To Look For When You Visit
When you visit each of the child care centres, you will want to pay attention to certain factors such as:
  • The amount of qualified staff each facility has and how many children are in each class.
  • Look for happy children that are working with purpose while having fun at the same time.
  • The premises appear to be clean and safe, with secure gates and safe playing areas for the children.
  • Bright and friendly welcomes when you show up and a keen interest in you and your child.
  • Plenty of amenities including stimulation for the children, with exciting but safe play equipment.
You can even make yourself a checklist that you can use when you visit each location, which will also allow you to take notes during your visit. Making your notes as detailed as possible will help you further down the line when it comes to choosing the best one for your child.

Just as a sidenote, it might be better to have childcare services come to you. Sites such as Care.com can help find the most reliable, suitable, and certified care services you need.

Look for happy children inside the facility.

Questions That You Need To Ask
There are also certain questions that you should be asking when you visit each of the facilities, and again you can takes notes when you are given the answers.
  • You should ask what the ratio of children to staff members is.
  • What qualifications and experience do the members of staff have?
  • What is the curriculum for learning?
  • How will learning also be made to be fun?
  • Will your child be looked after one main carer, or would there be many?
  • Do you provide drink and snacks or do you need to provide them?
  • What are the rules and procedures for things such as discipline?
  • There are much more besides, but this will give you an idea of what else to ask.

Will learning also be fun?

Check Their References
The last step will be to check the references of each facility and ensure that they are registered with the local council, as well as have all of the necessary insurance. Try and get opinions of parents who sent their children to the facilities in questions, and use these to help make a decision. If you do this in advance, you will have plenty of time to make your decision and choose the best child care for your child, where they will thrive and flourish.

My Little Kinder Kid.

The little man is now officially a student, as classes at The Learners Academy began last Thursday. It's been almost a month since their Summer School Readiness Program ended, and my eager beaver has become even more eager to go to school.

Yue enjoyed his summer class a lot, and was extremely fond of his teacher. It's a good thing that Yue will be under the care of Teacher Love again for the next ten months. I can't wait to see how my spoiled brat will turn into a fine young man once he finishes Kindergarten. Yes, he's in Kindergarten. And he's only 3.5 years old.

While I am looking forward to all the neat stuff that Yue will be bringing home (ergo, an artwork or a crafts project), the little man is anticipating more new toys from my brother.

His Ninong Joey (that's what he calls my brother) promised to get him the rest of the vehicles in this truck collection, provided that he behaves in class and brings home lots of stars.

That toy he's holding is actually his reward for bringing home all the stars plus a ribbon during the School Readiness Program's final week.

So far, we've successfully breezed through the first two days of school. Two days down, ten more months to go, lol! :)

Now excuse me while I wolf down this Mushroom Burger. I think I need to pull off an all-nighter with all my pending product reviews and sponsor spotlight articles. Thank goodness it's already the weekend! I can sleep late and wake up late if I want to. :)

Home School (well, sort of.)

It's been two weeks since summer school ended, and we have another two weeks before the regular classes formally open. Guess what we're doing in between that period.

We're still studying! :)

Eager Beaver, Stage Mommy, and The Learners Academy.

Yesterday, the little man and I went to The Learners Academy to sign up for the School Readiness Program. Even before Yue was born, I've already made plans to send him to this school. Aileen (one of my best friends from the company I used to work with) has her first-born enrolled here, and seeing how well-rounded and academically excellent her son is, I had no qualms in entrusting my son's education here either. I didn't even make calls or inquiries with other schools.

TLA believes in YOUR child.
I was hell-bent on The Learners Academy, and even my husband knows it.

You can't imagine how excited I was to finally set foot on TLA grounds. At the back of my mind, I was gushing, "I'm sending my son to school! The day has finally come!"

At Miss Aida's office.

Quietly engaged in these toys while Mommy pays for his fees. :)

"Look, Daddy! I'm in school!"

Of course, this isn't the 'actual school program', but since he's going to (formal) school here in June, it's almost the same to me. I beam with pride just by looking at the 'List of School Materials' that Miss Aida gave me.

Who would have thought that ten years after these photos were taken, husband and I would finally be sending an offspring to school?

Surreal isn't it?
