KPop idol group SHINee has taken their modelling stint with Skechers to the next level. Now, they are not just brand endorsers, they have become designers as well.
Onew, Taemin, Jonghyun, Key, and Minho met up with the design team of Skechers to brainstorm ideas, after which they made drafts of their favorite themes individually.
According to a Skechers representative, "The 5 members of SHINee actively participated in the design process from start to finish, and left the staff feeling stunned. The designs will focus on SHINee’s unique sense of style, so we believe that we can definitely produce something that will reflect on each member’s personality."
This project was done in collaboration with portal website NAVER, where the caps and shirts designed by SHINee will first go on sale. International Kpop fans can also avail of the 'Why So Serious' collection via YesAsia, where preorders can now be made.

Spazz Saturday #15 | Best Selling KPop Albums of 2012.
In 2012, my addiction to KPop and KDramas reached a full-scale level in terms of fan merchandise expenditures. I shopped at YesAsia almost on a monthly basis, buying all sorts of things - from lighsticks to concert DVDs, from planners to photobooks, from cable winders to miniature plush dolls, to the complete Super Junior discography. I will not divulge how much I have spent on all these things, but let's just say the total amount would be enough to give my husband a heart attack, lol.
A few days ago, the YumCha! Editorial Team released the list of Best Selling KPop Albums of 2012. Not surprisingly, Big Bang was at the helm, followed by Super Junior and a bunch of other SM Entertainment artists. Alive/Still Alive, Big Bang's fifth mini-album, was hailed as the best-selling album, surpassing Super Junior's Sexy, Free, and Single by a significant margin. However, Super Junior came twice in the list, with their Mr. Simple/A-Cha album (released in 2011) making waves in the charts for over a year.
Without further ado, here are the Best Selling KPop Albums of 2012.
1. Big Bang - Alive / Still Alive

Super Junior | Take Me to the Opera!
My boys just released 'Opera', their third Japanese single.
And they'reselling like hotcakes almost sold out at YesAsia.
I'm not surprised, actually. After all, they're the best boy group ever, IMHO. Plus Opera's MV is just so spunky!
My oh my! I can't wait for their 6th full album!

Project Lee Joongi | Sweet Memory, finally!
Today - just like yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that - had been crazy.
And quite stressful.
I've been having issues lately with the little man's crazy antics, temper tantrums, and emotional quotient.
All these boils down to him being the first grandchild great grandchild.
A spoiled rotten great grandchild.
The stress is starting to show on my crow's feet, for crying out loud!
The heavens must have sensed that I've incurred
more than a month's worth of stress within the past five days.
Hence, I got this reward.
Found it waiting for me at our doorstep this afternoon.
It's Lee Joongi's Sweet Memory
CD+DVD+Photobook!
My ahjussi / kkonminam has found his way home again! To me! Haha!
I can't contain my excitement, obviously. Especially after realizing that (if I'm not mistaken)
I'm the first one on the Philippines to own this album.
This is the Korean version, by the way. I was originally planning to get the Japanese version, too.
But dang, the price is just... inhumane! LOL! Almost all Japanese releases are.
Now it all boils down to three words.
ONE. HAPPY. FANGIRL.
Thank you, YesAsia!
And Lee Joongi,
YOU.
ARE.
MADE OF AWESOME. :)

Singing (the) Blue | Big Bang Daebak!
I wasn't a BigBang fan. Until this came along.
After I posted this yesterday, I got so curious about BigBang's comeback album that I couldn't help but to Google it. Really, when you see something as quirky as this, you're bound to get curious.
The next thing I knew, I was on BigBang's official YouTube channel, watching the Blue MV over and over until Yue began complaining about it. "Mommy, ang lakas naman ng tugtog mo! Hindi ko marinig si Pink Panther!" (Mommy, your music is too loud! I can't hear Pink Panther!) LOL.
I usually fall in love with the song first, before the artist itself. After being smitten by Blue, I decided to preorder a copy of Alive for myself. Just when I thought the only album I will be purchasing this year would be Lee Jun Ki's Deucer (single to be released in March, album in April), I found myself enamored by Blue - like I'm in a trance or something. Play the video above and perhaps you'll understand what I'm talking about.
And with that, I'm now making it official. The Rebel Sweetheart is now a VIP. :)

UKiss, Miss A, Big Bang | Get 'Em While They're Hot!
The KPop industry is once again filled with excitement as three of the hottest groups release their latest albums!
For KissMe's like me (surprise, I'm a UKiss fangirl!), A Shared Dream is a priority on this month's shopping list. It's UKiss' first Japanese album, and it's been making waves as soon as the MV of their single 'Forbidden Love' came out on the internet. This is a CD+DVD by the way - meaning, there's a video you can spazz on! Haha!
Miss A's fans are in for a treat as well, with the release of Touch.
And the most-awaited of them all is (drum roll, please) Big Bang's fifth mini-album! Aptly titled 'Alive', this album has been eagerly anticipated by VIPs (Big Bang's fanclub) and even non-VIPs. After all the controversies and scandals that have surrounded them for the past year, the boys return to their rightful spot in the limelight and on the KPop charts.
Did I get you all hyped up? Click on the white icons just below the photos and start buying these albums now! :)

The Chronicles of a Super Junior Fangirl.
I've been bitten by the Hallyu bug. And its after effects are now showing. Dark undereye circles (from staying up late watching Kdrama DVDs), shortness of breath (from gushing too much at the sight of idol stars), and incomprehensible jargon (I can now speak and understand basic conversational Hangul) - all these have manifested on me. My chingus tell me it's a disease that has no cure. And true enough, it only got worst when I came to know about the best male group ever - Super Junior.
Four months ago, I chanced upon their Bonamana MV and Mr. Simple album launch while watching Arirang's Showbiz Korea segment. One look at Park Jungsu's dimple, Choi Siwon's sheepish smile, their amazing dance moves, and I was smitten. Hopelessly smitten.
Not content with just watching YouTube videos and mp3 downloads, I vowed to have all of their albums (subgroups excluded) before the year ends. Like a woman possessed, I scoured endlessly one online store after another. I even enlisted my husband to the cause, much to his chagrin. And with a fangirl's fierce determination, I was able to accomplish this goal just in time for my birthday.
From '05 to 5Jib - all three versions of them! I had the most difficulty with the second album, Don't Don. The CD + DVD version is such a rare find these days; even YesAsia had been very apologetic to me about not being able to provide me a copy even after two months of waiting. In the end, I was lucky enough to find one via Facebook.
To date, I have these titles sitting on my CD shelf. (Mr. Simple version A not included in this photo. You wouldn't be able to see the title from the side, anyway.)

The bottom most album, Victory Korea, is my most precious one. Not only is it my very first Super Junior album, but also because it's their single and Korea's theme song for the 2010 World Cup. You all know I'm a footballer, too.
Yue has a favorite album as well. It's SJ-Trot's Rokkugo - their only album, and my only sub-group album.
This went on sale at YesAsia for $5.99 from its original price of $16.99. Imagine my excitement when I saw the word 'sale'. LOL.
At the moment, I'm eyeing the 2012 Diary and the SuperShow 3 DVD package. It's a good thing I can use my OC tendencies (I can't live without a planner) as an excuse to buy that diary. As for the SuperShow 3, well, there's just no excuse. You just have to have one. And I'm sure my fellow ELFs will all agree.
