Spotlight | Etude House Minnie Kissing Lips in Minnie Red.

When news broke out last year that Etude House and Disney will be teaming up for a limited edition makeup line, I was ecstatic. And when I first caught a glimpse of the entire collection, I made a resolve to get a hold of at least one or two of those xoxo Minnie products.

And that I did. I got me one of those lipsticks, thanks to Charmaine of Kkochi Pida.
Minnie Kissing Lips!
There are actually two shades in the Minnie Kissing Lips line - #1 Minnie Red and #2 Bubble Pink. I have the #1 shade, and I hope I can add the #2 shade in my collection soon.
Minnie Kissing Lips #1 - Minnie Red.
Minnie Red.
A moisturizing cream lipstick, Minnie Red has a lightweight feel that keeps the lips soft and hydrated. It has a solid red color with a hint of luminous shine. The color is buildable, and has an opaque finish.
Left, one swipe. Right, two swipes.
Staying power is a good five hours, with a bit of drinking or eating. I don't mind retouching my lips though, as I love the mild scent of this lipstick, and how it glides on my lips like a dream. And the uber cute packaging plus the bold red color get a lot of attention in the powder room. Haha!
Etude x Disney = adorable! :)
Here's how the lipstick looks like when worn.
Minnie Red on my lips.
What I love:
- The super cute packaging.
- Lightweight, creamy formula.
- Easy to apply.
- Moisturizes the lips.
- Buildable coverage.
- Great color pay-off.
- Stays on for at least five hours.
- Affordable price. (9000 Korean won, approximately $9)

What you might not like:
- Available only in Korea.

And here's the obligatory selfie to complete this post.

Sneak Peek | xoxo Minnie Etude x Disney Collection.

Tomorrow, October 15, will be D-Day.
And I mean 'Disney Day', as Korean cosmetics giant Etude House launches the xoxo Minnie collection - a collaboration with the multinational mass media corporation, Walt Disney.
Pretty Sulli!
Makeup enthusiasts, Korean cosmetics junkies (like me!), and even Kpop fans have been buzzing about this upcoming collection, and here's a sneak peek at what Etude House has to offer.
Click the image to enlarge! :)
I see a lot of shimmer and sparkle in this photo, with those nail glitters and pink and red nail polishes. There's also a Volumizer Mascara, single eyeshadow pans, and false eyelashes to boot. Of course you can't miss that pink lipstick - front and center, and that pan of blush with Minnie Mouse embossed in it.
I'm officially lusting over the second blush.
There are two blushes in this collection, with two different illustrations on the cover. The third pan, as it turns out, is a case for the Precious Mineral Any Cushion. The Cushion pact is actually refillable, so if you have refills in stock, you can simply insert it into this uber cute Minnie Mouse case.

Now here's the thing. This collection will be released in South Korea only. I'm not sure if Etude House even has plans of releasing this collection in other parts of Asia in the near future, but for now, it's just gonna be South Korea. Having a husband who works in Seoul sure comes in handy, lol.

If you have friends or relatives who are in South Korea or are planning to visit the country, then perhaps you can ask them to get this collection for you. Or maybe, just maybe, my favorite online stores will be able to source out this collection. Let's keep our fingers crossed and I'll post updates just in case. :)
