Spotlight | CatalinaGeo Auto Eyebrow Pencil.

I've been meaning to post this review earlier, but the past few days had been too crazy for me to get any writing done. There was the little man's school activities, the Big Bang Alive Tour Manila leg, then alas, the little man got sick and we had to stay at the hospital for almost four days! We were discharged last Sunday, and now this blog is back to regular programming.

A few weeks back, I did a review of the StemCello EMortal Revitalizing Vitamin C Serumwhich was sent to me by Korea Cosmetics (KC). This product, the CatalinaGeo Auto Eyebrow Pencil, was also included in that package from KC.

A product of Lamy Cosmetics, the CatalinaGeo Auto Eyebrow Pencil is a retractable and refillable eyebrow tool. It comes in a distinct triangular shape, which allows you to line your eyebrows and fill them in at the same time.
The pencil itself, plus a refill!
The CatalinaGeo Auto Eyebrow Pencil comes in two variants - 01 or Gray Brown, and 02 or Black Brown. The Gray Brown is suitable for those with brown hair, while the Black Brown for those with black or dark hair. Ironically, I received the latter.
Use the triangular pencil tip to draw and define the eyebrows.
Use the broader surface to fill in lighter parts for natural-looking eyebrows.
I dye my hair brown so I normally use light to medium brown eyebrow pencils. The CatalinaGeo's Black Brown variant is a tad darker than the ones I use, but the color is good enough when you're aiming for a more natural, no makeup look.
Three swipes on the left, one swipe on the right.
The pencil comes with a spoolie on the other end, which you can use to shape your brows and even out the color.

My eyebrows are my Achilles heel when it comes to doing my makeup. I'm still a noob when it comes to creating perfectly-arched brows, lol.

The taming of the shrew? :)
Now watch the product do its thing on my sparse and untamed eyebrows.

What I love:
- Chic and classy packaging.
- Refillable, and comes with a refill.
- Comes with a spoolie.
- Easy to apply.
- Pencil itself is durable and does not break easily.
- Excellent staying power - eight hours max in my case.

What you might not like:
- Not available locally.
- It's priced at $24 (roughly Php900 or 26,000 KRW) BUT considering that you get an extra refill per box, the price isn't so bad at all.

The CatalinaGeo Auto Eyebrow Pencil, along with other CatalinaGeo products are available online through Korea Cosmetics. Like them on Facebook to get the latest updates on your favorite Korean cosmetics and beauty products!

Spotlight | StemCello Revitalizing EMortal Vitamin C Serum.

About three weeks ago, I received a text message from the local post office regarding the arrival of yet another parcel. I was anticipating a package from Korea Cosmetics that time, so imagine my delight when the nice little lady at the post office handed me this box with the words 'Korea Post' written on it.

Inside the box was an array of cosmetics and beauty products for me to try, including the StemCello Revitalizing EMortal Vitamin C Serum. Designed for mature and uneven skin, this lightweight serum targets age spots and areas of hyperpigmentation. This unique skincare product uses stem cell activators plus common skin whitening agents such as Vitamin C, licorice, grapeseed oil, and mulberry extract to prevent fine lines and even the skin tone.

A product of SkinCure, Inc., the StemCello Vitamin C Serum's gold packaging reeks of elegance and sophistication. The box has all the pertinent information you need - from product description, ingredients, and directions for use. And you can actually read it because they're written in English. For those who can read Hangul, you can refer to the side panels.

The product itself comes in a 30 mL pump bottle, with an indicator at the side. Both features I pretty much like - the indicator, because it conveniently allows me to see how much serum I have left, while the pump, for sanitary reasons.

To use, apply 2-3 pumps of serum to the face, including the eye area. Apply more on areas that need more hydration. Careful with the pump, though, as it tends to squeeze out more than what you actually need. Use with a gentle hand to get just the right amount.

The serum has a light, fluid-like consistency, which is easily absorbed by the skin. It also has a distinct floral scent, which I find a bit overwhelming at first. I got used to it eventually, after weeks of continued use.

I've been using this for almost three weeks now, and I'm more than happy with it. I love how it leaves my skin bright and fresh-looking despite inadequate sleep. I also love its moisturizing effect, and how it didn't give me break-outs or allergies. The StemCello Vitamin C Serum also bears the 'No Animal Testing' logo, which makes this product even more commendable.

What I love:
- Elegant packaging.
- Hygienic pump bottle.
- Content indicator.
- Serum is lightweight and non-greasy.
- Moisturizes and brightens the skin.
- Evens out skintone.
- No rashes or allergies on my sensitive skin.
- Not tested on animals.

What you might not like:
- The scent, which is suitable for a more mature audience. Younger ladies might find the scent a bit too strong at first whiff.
- The price. This 30 mL bottle sells for $150. That's more or less Php 6200 or 160,000 KRW.
- Not available locally.

The StemCello Revitalizing EMortal Vitamin C Serum, as well as other products from the StemCello line can be purchased online at Korea Cosmetics.
