Spotlight | Tupperware Brands Colorfull Satin Lipstick & Colorfull Cheek Magix Cream.

We're currently on a Holy Week break - no classes for an entire week, which means I don't have to worry about Yue's homework or quizzes or projects or what-not, and I have lots of free time to catch up on my favorite Korean dramas and blog backlogs. Yay!

Let's start with my review of these lip and cheek products from Tupperware Brands' Colorfull line. These items were included in the Happy New Me package sent by Tupperware Brands Philippines earlier this year.

A trademark of Colorfull products is their fun and playful packaging and kitschy designs. I reckon this makeup line is geared towards a 'younger' audience - as in teens and women in their early 20's.

The price point of these products are one of the lowest in the market, too. These lipsticks, for instance, retail for just Php 109 a pop.

But affordability doesn't necessarily mean that you're sacrificing quality. In terms of pigmentation, these Colorfull Satin Lipsticks deliver intense color payoff with just one swipe.

They glide on your lips like a dream, and leave your lips feeling soft and supple with a lovely satin finish.

Fierce Red is a shade that's somewhere in between pink and berry red, while Midnight is a cool-toned plum that looks flattering on most skin tones. There are ten other satin lipstick shades in the Colorfull line, most of which are pinks and reds.

In terms of wear time, Fierce Red is so-so - about two or three hours before the color starts to fade; Midnight is more long-wearing as the color stays in place for up to five hours.

Colorfull Cheek Magix Cream.

The Colorfull Cheek Magix Cream, on the other hand, is a cream-type blush that changes from white to pink as you apply it on your skin. This product retails for Php 149 and is available in just one shade - Pink Spice.

It comes in a cute, convenient, and hygienic squeeze tube with a small opening that allows you to control the amount of product to be dispersed.

The cream is mildly scented (it has a hint of berries, which I certainly don't mind), and has a velvety texture when applied.

The key to achieving a natural flush with the Cheek Magix Cream is to start with a small amount of the product and blend it rapidly across the cheeks. Wait for the color to pop before applying another layer until you get the pink flush that you desire.

I like how this product gives your cheeks a gentle wash of color and a subtle, pinkish glow. If you're going for the 'no-makeup' makeup look, this product will give your cheeks a lovely, natural-looking flush. The only downside is that the flush doesn't stay all day. You have to retouch every once in a while to keep that pinkish glow on your cheeks.

Today is a special holiday here in the Philippines, and the long weekend is the perfect opportunity to spend time with your family - go on a road trip perhaps, or take the kids to somewhere fun.

We were supposed to hie off to Playa Laiya today for some much-needed Vitamin Sea, but Mum wasn't feeling too well when she woke up this morning so we had to cancel our beach trip at the last minute. The kids were slightly disappointed that they couldn't go for a swim, but Mum managed to cheer them up by ordering pizza (lol). I love the cute and colorful packaging of the makeup items. They're the most eye-catching products in the bundle, and my favorite products in the bunch. Expect an extensive review of each item  - complete with swatches and all - in the coming days.

I also love how most of the products come in travel-friendly sizes. If you're a long-time follower of this blog and my social media pages, then you probably know that we travel quite often and that I never travel without my beauty and skin care essentials in tow. Looks like these products will be doing a bit of traveling very soon, especially the Vita Clear Facial Deep Cleanser for Men. I'll bring it along for my husband to try.

Yue, on the other hand, has called dibs on the Cool Peppermint Lip Balm. His perennially parched lips has made him an avid fan and regular user of lip balms, and he was thrilled at the sight of a new lip balm in his all-time favorite 'flavor', peppermint. The lip balm has now found a new home in the side pocket of his school bag, haha!

Spotlight | TupperClean Laundrymate Powder Detergent + Soft N Clean Fabric Softener.

First weekend of the year!
And like any ordinary weekend, I'm spending mine doing the laundry - one of the household chores (aside from cooking and grocery shopping) that I actually enjoy. I find the entire process of washing dirty clothes - from sorting to folding - a very therapeutic activity, and for me, the sight of an empty laundry basket brings nothing but sheer unadulterated pleasure.

Consequently, this has made me quite finicky with laundry products. For laundry detergents, it has to be tough on stains, gentle on clothes, and even gentler on hands - because I'm old school and prefer scrubbing the whites and washing undergarments by hand, haha.

TupperClean from Tupperware Brands.

Just recently, I have been introduced to TupperClean - Tupperware Brands' line of home care products which includes detergents, fabric softeners, air fresheners, toilet bowl cleaners, and dishwashing pastes. I had the opportunity to try and test their laundry products, and I must say, I had a kick out of it over the weekend.

TupperClean LaundryMate Powder Detergent, Php 299.

The TupperClean LaundryMate, for one, easily met my standards. It's a powder detergent formulated with natural enzymes that cuts through stains and lifts away dirt from your clothes. I used this for soaking and scrubbing the whites, and I had no difficulty (read: no heavy scrubbing) in removing the collar stains on Yue's school uniforms. This detergent is gentle on the skin too, as my hands did not feel dry or itchy after scrubbing the whites by hand.

Comes with a 40-gram scoop inside.

I like how sudsy this detergent is, and how it easily dissolves in water. It also has a clean, fresh scent -the kind that you get when you walk inside or pass by a laundromat. You get 400 grams of product with every box of TupperClean LaundryMate Powder Detergent, together with a reusable plastic scoop.

Now when it comes to laundry care, fabric conditioners/softeners are like icing to cake. I love how they lock the fragrance onto your clothes and make fabrics soft and smooth. However, since the conditioner/softener is what into contact with the garments last, its compatibility with the skin is a big factor me, most especially with my son's clothes. 

Thankfully, these Soft N Clean Fabric Softeners are hypoallergenic, and they do a good job of 'softening' the fabrics and making them 'fluffier' and easier to iron. They also leave a nice, long-lasting fresh scent on clothes, though I find the Lilac Fresh Scent more to my liking. I also like the Lilac's consistency better than the Classic Clean variant, as the latter seemed to have coagulated inside the bottle.

Maybe because the Lilac Fresh variant was manufactured just recently while the Classic Clean variant goes way back to 2016?

Each bottle of Soft N Clean contains 500 mL of product. You can use the cap to dispense the liquid on to your laundry, and one full cap is good for a small to medium-sized load on your washing machine.
