Spotlight | Etude House Eraser Show Line Remover Stick.

The first time I saw this meme, I totally cracked up. Because I've had my own share of eyeliner boo-boos, and I can totally relate with this dilemma. Haha!

But now that I've discovered this handy makeup tool, I no longer have to worry about 'being a panda'.
Eraser Show!
Ta-daa! It's the Etude House Eraser Show Line Remover Stick, which I bought for only Php 148 at Etude House's Alabang Town Center branch. And that's the regular price, mind you. :)
English text, for your reference.
'This makeup remover cream stick swiftly and precisely wipes away smudges, flaking, and other makeup mistakes. Infused with Argan Oil, it erases even waterproof formula skin.' - So goes the product description.
It looks like a Vicks inhaler, lol.
The product comes in one size only (2 mL), and the stick itself looks like this. Kinda reminds me of a Vicks inhaler, haha. This one smells really nice, though. The scent actually reminds me of Laneige's Water Sleeping Pack EX. The product is very easy to use, and has a creamy, slightly oily (but not icky) texture when applied.

Here's the Line Remover Stick in action. I used it to remove my BYS Waterproof Eyeliner, which is tough against soap and water (ergo, it's really waterproof).

BYS Waterproof Eyeliner.
Now that's one very thick coat! :)
The line starts to come off after three swipes of the Line Remover Stick.
Wipe it off completely with tissue or cotton and there you have it -
no traces of the eyeliner left on my skin!
What I love:
- Cute, sleek packaging.
- Product is easy to use.
- Works effectively, even on waterproof eyeliners.
- Smells nice.
- Safe for sensitive skin.
- Doesn't sting the eyes.
- Affordable price.

What you might not like:
- None that I can think of. :)

Impressed by the Etude House Eraser Show Line Remover Stick? I am.
I'd say this is a must-have for anyone who loves to wear/do makeup (eyeliners, in particular) - whether you're a newbie with makeup or a professional makeup artist or just a makeup junkie (like me) who wants to avoid becoming a panda. Haha!

Spotlight | Canmake Four Shiny Eyes Palette in Strawberry Chocolate.

Last May, Canmake Philippines' chief makeup artist Bea Almeda held a Facebook giveaway in celebration of her birthday. At stake were the Four Shiny Eyes Palette, Eye Nuance Eyeshadow, and Candy Wrap Lip Gloss. I was lucky to be one of the winners, and for my prize I received this Four Shiny Eyes Palette in 01 Strawberry Chocolate.
Canmake Four Shiny Eyes Palette.
For those who are hearing the name 'Canmake' for the first time, it's a Japanese brand of drugstore makeup. Canmake finally made its way to Philippine soil, and the brand was officially launched in the country last summer.

Now back to my new toy - the Four Shiny Eyes Palette. Here's what the product does, as per the Canmake website:
Your eyes will look bigger than ever! Achieve deep-set eyes by layering on these colors with different textures! Use this four-shade palette of eyeshadows to try a wide range of tricks for making your eyes look bigger.
Strawberry Chocolate.
The Strawberry Chocolate variant is a trio of cute, pink shades plus the brown liner on the last pan. What's great about the Four Shiny Eyes Palette is that you have a lot of shades to choose from. There are seven palettes in this collection, all of them priced at 680 yen (somewhere around Php 300 or a little over US$6).
Wakarimasu ka? (Do you understand?)
It comes in a clear, plastic packaging. The case itself looks like a jewel, with studs and sparkles adorning the cover. I find the packaging really cute, though I've heard that the plastic container isn't very sturdy.
How to!
Pretty much everything is written in Japanese. But the instruction guide is illustrated and easy to understand.

Now for the swatches.
Texture is soft and creamy, though a bit chalky. Not as highly pigmented as my other drugstore brand eyeshadows (i.e. Almay), but the shimmery and sheer colors are pretty buildable. It'll take a bit of effort to build the colors, though.
Swatches of Strawberry. And Chocolate. :)
Also, I've heard some complaints about this product's poor staying power, so just to be on the safe side, I use this eyeshadow with a primer on. I was able to wear this for a good eight hours without creasing or fading. Either they have improved the formulation, or my primer is pretty damn good. Haha!

What I love:
- Pretty packaging.
- Affordable price.
- Several shades available.
- Now available in the Philippines.
- Staying power is good, when used with a primer.
- No fall-outs, surprisingly. :)
- No allergic reactions; safe for sensitive skin.

What you might not like:
- Save for the brown liner on the last pan, pigmentation is so-so.
Customary FOTD! :)

Spotlight | BYS Smudgeproof Waterproof Eyeliner.

A good friend of mine came to me the other day, asking for help. She had to be all dolled up for her son's Commencement Exercises, and she needed a good, inexpensive eyeliner to use.  I asked her to try the BYS Smudgeproof Waterproof Liner which can be bought at Watson's, and sells for Php 249 only.
BYS Smudgeproof Waterproof Eyeliner.
Yesterday, my friend gave me a call to tell me that the product I recommended was a winner. For someone who's not too adept with liquid eyeliners, she didn't have much difficulty using the product. Plus it withstood the unbearable, unforgiving summer heat. Feedback like these make me really happy - all the more because I was able to help a friend in need. Haha, the dilemma of us women.

I can personally attest to the greatness of this product, as I've been using the BYS Smudgeproof Waterproof Eyeliner for about a month now. I bought this on impulse during the last 3-Day Sale at SM San Pablo. It was on sale for Php 199 only and I just couldn't resist adding it to my shopping cart. But this baby turned out to be a really good find so I don't regret buying it on a whim.

This one's in black, obviously. :)
Made in Australia. Not tested on animals.
The BYS Smudgeproof Waterproof Eyeliner comes in a sleek 4mL bottle. I can't remember if there are other shades available, but this one is Black. Its rubber tip applicator is stiff and very thin - great for creating fine, precise lines. It feels a bit scratchy the first time it comes contact with your eyelids, but you'll get used to the feel of it eventually.
Super thin!
One swipe of the BYS Eyeliner on the left, two swipes on the right.
Its formulation is dark and opaque, it's not runny, and it dries quickly, too. Best of all, it's as smudgeproof and waterproof as it claims to be, even without a primer on.
Rubbing it with water.
Rubbing it with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.
Rubbing it with Face of Australia Makeup Remover.
What I love:
- Sleek packaging.
- Highly pigmented, buildable color.
- Opaque formulation; not runny.
- Dries fast.
- Easy to use.
- Great for creating fine, precise lines.
- Smudgeproof, waterproof.
- Can last throughout the day.
- Cruelty-free.
- Non-irritating.
- Affordable price.

What you might not like:
- Brush feels scratchy on the eyelids.

Of course, here's the customary Face of the Day. Witness the BYS Eyeliner in action, haha. :)

CHEEKS: Tony Moly Lip & Cheek Tint in Cherry Pink.

Have you tried any BYS product? Let me know which ones are good so I can try them, too! :)
