Just because I have short, wash-and-wear hair doesn't mean that I care for my hair less. In fact, I spend almost quarter of an hour everyday just combing, parting, and styling my hair, making sure that not a single strand is out of place.
Part of my daily (combing) ritual is this
Natural Smoothing Hair Serum from
Human Heart Nature. I've been using this product for almost six months now, but for some reason, blogging about this product slipped my mind. I would have completely forgotten about it if not for my fellow blogger, Sam. Thanks for making me remember, sister! Haha! :)

Another great product from Human Heart Nature - the Smoothing Hair Serum. |
Human Heart Nature's
Smoothing Hair Serum is made with the following
locally grown ingredients: soybean, broccoli, and sunflower oil.
Soybean oil is packed with vitamins and other nutrients that make it a good source of nourishment for the hair. When your tresses are properly nourished, they are easier to tame and manage.
Sunflower oil, on the other hand, prevents breakage and strengthens the hair. Finally, there's
broccoli seed oil which gives the hair a healthy glow and natural lustre. It has excellent anti-oxidant properties that makes it a great substitute for silicone, often found in commercially available hair care products.
|
Perfect blend of sunflower, soybean, and broccoli seed oil in this bottle. |
And that's one of the main reasons why I love this product. It has zero traces of silicone in it, and does not contain any harmful chemicals. And like all of Human Heart Nature's products, this one is not tested on animals.
|
Pro-poor, pro-Philippines, pro-environment, and cruelty-free. |
This product comes in a sleek, 50 mL pump bottle. The pump, however, is my only gripe with this
product. I find it a tad difficult to control, and oftentimes, it dispenses more than the amount of hair serum I need.
|
I have a love-hate relationship with this pump, haha! |
But as far as the serum is concerned, I have nothing but good things to say. It's light and non-greasy, very easy to apply, and has a mild and pleasant scent, which I reckon comes from the soybean oil. It makes my hair soft and shiny, and keeps those tiny baby hairs from sticking out of my scalp. Haha!
|
Food for the hair. :) |
The
Smoothing Hair Serum comes in one size only (50 mL) and sells for Php 249.75 per bottle. Good news if you're planning to buy one after reading this review, because they're currently being sold at the promo price of
Php 199.75. Available
online, at your local
Human Heart Nature branch, or via Human Heart Nature dealers.
What I love:
- Organic, all-natural.
- No silicone, no harmful chemicals.
- Light and non-greasy formulation.
- Mild and pleasant scent.
- Makes my hair smooth and shiny.
- Tames the hair and makes it soft and manageable.
What you might not like:
- The pump can be a pain at times.
Tip: Apply the hair serum away from the roots, as the roots tend to be the oiliest part of the hair. Concentrate more on the tips, which tend to be the driest and needs nourishment and hydration the most.
naku sis nalurkey naman ako half an hour ka magsuklay! ako sis sobrang tamad magsuklay! this product looks promising but since I used Kerastase di na ko tumingin ng iba! haha
ReplyDeleteI love HHN too! my fried who is a dealer is now so busy with work so I go to Sesou at ATC to buy some. I think this works the same with my Snoe Hair and Body Glaze but I want to try this too when I finished Snoe. :) I hope I'll get in on sale. Mejo madami pa kasi yung gamit ko now. Thanks for this review. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is a good product for hair care and styling and it's good they are offering at promo price.

ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a good product review from you.
ReplyDeleteIt's really great that the Smoothing Hair Serum keeps those tiny baby hairs at bay. I have such a problem with "fly-aways" I call them, but don't use many products in my hair because it is so fickle and starts to fall out even if I wash it too regularly. I'm super apprehensive about trying new hair products because my hair has become this sleeping beast of a thing for me--don't wake it, it could get angry and you wouldn't like it when it's angry.
ReplyDeleteThe words "no silicone" caught my eye. I don't like the effect of silicone because it coats and weighs down my hair, making it look stiff. I hope they have this in the Robinsons Magnolia Supermarket.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently using Natura's hair serum. But this product looks nice.. would try this after I finish my current hair serum bottle :D
ReplyDeletei like to try this!!! my hair needs some resurrecting! :P
ReplyDeleteI just love Human Nature products esp. their sunflower oil. For hair serum, I'm currently using the anti frizz serum from Loreal. I think I should give this a try once my Loreal is gone for good :)
ReplyDeleteI've wondered how hair serums worked. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to try some!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this tips. Yes im still figuring what hair serum to choose as there a lot of brands in the market. Will try this!
ReplyDeletebroccoli seed, sounds interesting. Would love to try this one, will definitely check this out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. I was actually thinking of getting one because I love that its silicone-free. I have a slight issue with hair fall kasi kaya I use all natural products.
ReplyDeleteSa totoo lang I hardly spend time on my hair lately.
ReplyDeleteThis product looks promising kaya lang may soyabean oil - bawal sa baby ko ang soya kaya I guess I won't be able to try this one.

Ngayon ko lang nalaman na may hair serum pala ang Human Heart Nature. I've tried their Sunflower Oil before and I like it naman. Ginamit ko yun sa stretch marks ko.
ReplyDeleteyou write good reviews about human heart nature. good thing it is organic and really safe to use :D
ReplyDeleteI use this for my new digiperm hair. hehe. i refrain using mousse kasi nagdadry yung hair ko sa tips.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments, everyone!
ReplyDeleteKath, April, I use the Sunflower Oil, too. Same purpose - stretch marks. Haha! :)
I am happy to see my name here. haha (kilig much)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, because of your Human Nature posts I bought Sunflower Oil and feminine wash from them. I wanted to try all their products.
The pump bottle is similar noh? and yes it's hard to pump sometimes.
I like that it has no silicone and that it is non-greasy. Some hair products contain silicone. :( I am using argan oil now, sometimes the sunflower oil. If I applied near the roots my hair become oily. haha So I will follow your tip.
I hope Landmark has this too. Thanks thanks for sharing and for feeding my curiosity. ♥
I've only tried one HHN hair product before. I'm gonna check this one out, especially now after my hair got permed. Hindi na ako nakakapagsuklay as often as before lalo na pag tuyo ang hair ko kaya I need something to keep the frizz and baby hairs away :)
ReplyDeleteI bought mine at goods.ph (https://www.goods.ph/human-heart-nature-natural-smoothing-hair-serum-50ml-5208.html), cause I had a problem with my hair. It's dull and dry. But now, I can't even imagine that it looks so good. Swerte ko lang din at nag tiwala ako sa human heart. Meron na puba ditong nakapag try na nung sun flower oil? Thanks!
